Chapter 21

I was walking down a pure white hallway of what looked like a castle. Huge open windows to the right and twelve doors along my right, each have different signs on them. A unicorn, a water drop, a phoenix, a hour glass, and six more. The were exo’s rooms. But why did exo have rooms here? What even is this place?

“Don’t you recognize your own home?”

I quickly turned around to face the sudden voice behind me. A tall woman dressed elegant white clothes and a warm face that seemed oddly familiar smiled at me.

“Um, wh-who are you?” I asked.

The woman laughed. “You’ll know soon enough.”

She took a step towards me, instinctively I moved away. Using my wind power I formed a kind of vortex around me, for some reason using my powers was as easy as breathing. Yet all that didn’t seem to affect the woman in front of me, at the very most it blew a few strands of hair. I stopped the wind, and the lady smiled at me. I realized that she was definitely stronger than me and if she wanted to hurt me she would have done it by now. But that didn’t stop me from being cautious.

She giggled. “Sorry this isn’t a laughing matter it’s just hard to take you seriously when you were always so happy.” I looked at her confused. Her smile dropped and her eyes had a look of sadness and regret.

“You're still the same. Shy and guarded around people you don’t know…. That won't work for your fans after you debut.” She tried to joke. “But for you, I’m someone you know very well. Although I haven’t seen you in such a long time.”

While trying to remember this lady I tried to keep my face neutral, not to show any emotions. I guess I wasn't as successful as I thought because she started laughing again. Why did she keep laughing at me?

“Oh how I miss that clueless face of yours. Come, maybe this will jog your memory of us, or at least the boys.” She turned and started walking. When she noticed I didn’t follower her she turned around. “Come, I’m sure you’re curious.”

She was right, I was curious. Curious about everything so I had no choice but to follow her.

As we walked down the hallway we passed an opening. I instantly remembered it from my dream. It was the garden where Kai, Lay, and I were dancing and I saw the shadow. I stopped for a second to look.

“Do you remember this place?” She asked.

I walked out to the place where the previous dream occurred. I was out side and a slight breeze blew by, the sky showing the vast stars. I turned around to view the grand castle I was just in. As I turned the lady was suddenly in front of me. She put her hand on my head.

It was my home, I remembered. It was all our homes. My older brother Kris who I was closer to than anyone. He was a little overprotective but that was what I liked about him. Lay who was always nice and calm and always took naps with me and never failed to heal me when I was hurt.

Kai who always seemed mean and rude but was always looking out for me.

Xiumin who I now remember all our midnight snacks and jokes.

Luhan who hated it when we played dress up but did it anyway.

Chanyeol, who was my teacher in being a happy virus.

Baekhyun, we always made fun of everyone.

D.O. who always made food for me.

Sehun and Suho who always accompanied me into the village to see our common people.

Chen who alway laughed with me (or at me), and Tao who I was always careful to be perfect around. I would try to be around him whenever I could.

We all lived in the palace on our planet EXO, and those on our planet were special. We all had a power that we were born with. Twelve families were chosen to protect the royal family, they had some of the strongest powers and smartest minds. All the boys had come from these families with the exception of Kris and I who were of the royal family.

As for me I was that rare few who actually gained more than one power. Which happened to be all twelve of the boy’s powers. Our parents along with the others, were the elders of the kingdom and were in charge of running and protecting it.

Kai’s parents, who both had the power of teleportation, had discovered a planet not quite like ours but similar enough. They decided to go over and explore the new place. We were living happily. Until we were attacked and wiped out.

In a rush all our parents fought hard and tried to get us to safety. It was Lay’s mother’s idea to send us to the newly discovered planet called Earth. At the last minute the castle's defeces were broken down. Due to this, it broke the concentration Kai’s parents who were in the process of transporting the last child, me. Sending me to who knows where.

I looked back at the lady still in the archway of the entrance. She was smiling at me again. The same smile Kris had, the same smile I had.

“Do you remember me now MinRa?”

“SuMin?”

“So you do.” She opened her arms and I ran to her. She was Kris and I’s eldest sister. She had been training to rule the kingdom and had left the planet the week before the attack I hadn’t seen her since.

“I’m glad you remember now.”

“But how are you still alive?”

“Well I never really died, but that’s not the point. The same darkness that destroyed our planet is heading towards Earth. You must tell the others, you have to protect your new home.”

“No, exo planet was my home, now that it’s gone I no longer have one.” I cried.

My sister smiled and wiped my tears away. “Yes, but now Earth is your home, and as long as you protect it, it will always be.” I nodded. “Alright now it’s time for you to wake up. You’ve been asleep for way too long this time.”

My vision started to blur, or was it the background in front of me? I wrapped my arms around her, she can’t go now, not while I still have so many questions. “What don’t go. I still have so many questions. How am I going to do this? Where are you? Will I ever see you again?”

She hugged me back. “So many questions, it’s definitely the same you. They’ll all be answered in time. Now that you remember you’re more powerful than you think, all you need is practice. Just remember keep you identities a secret.”

“Why?”

“Because you’ll die if you don’t.” And with that I woke up.
