"Hmm, these pancakes are nice" Grayson says as he takes another bite from his fork.

"Yeh" you say as you look around the cafe, your eyes wondering to ease the awkwardness.

Silence fills the room for a few minutes until Grayson speaks up.

"So, how are you?" He asks. He rests his index finger in the palm of his hand, still stuffing his face with pancakes.

"I'm good to be honest, my sister got accepted to college today actually". You smile.

"Ahhh, congrats to her, but I want to get to know you better" he says as he places a small smirk on his face.

"Okay. Well. I love all genres of music I guess, how about you?".

"I have a wide range, like you. I like blackbear, the 1975, kid kudi, anything really".

"Omg I love blackbear!!" Your eyes widen with surprise.

"Looks like we have some things in common then" he licks his lips and fixes his hair.

You find yourself staring at him in amazement and look away quickly.

"I better go, my mom wants me to go to the mall with her". You roll your eyes and arise from the seat.

"I loved today, thank you" you smile at him and grab your bag and start to walk off.

"Hey, y/n you forgot your keys!" Grayson shouts running after you. "Can I take you out again? Tomorrow?".

"Yes! I'd love too! See you tomorrow, text me". You say your last goodbyes and head for your car.
