Glances
Her glance danced across the floor,
Alternately hooded then bright,
Like a sunbeam dodging canopy
In spring glade; speckled light.
Glimpsing eyes for opportunity.
Playfully darting, seeking "More?"
Her glance meets his, shyly,
Graceful, impudent yet by turn,
Dancing around him, seeking;
Catching eye and soul to burn,
Then darting away, breaking
Contact but momentarily.
Hooded window opened wide,
His stare to draw in closer.
Eyes smile, cheek blush, enticing,
A bee unto red clover.
Her mouth corners slightly rising,
Lures him, "come deep inside".
She knows that she has him hooked,
Expert angler plays him now.
Glance toward him then away;
Draws him over, makes him bow
To her and 'chooses' to stay.
His fate sealed when first he looked.
