David R Orzel is primarily a poet and writer of short stories of various genres. Poems are in various forms, from Brevity to standard rhyming rhythmic poetry. He is an astute observer of nature and people and insights from his observations inform his poetry, as well romanticism, mysticism, and a sense of deep spirituality. Many explore connections: of souls, people, nature. Stories completed so far are in the genres of Science Fiction, Romance, and Star Chamber-like vengeance tales.

David started writing in High School and had both a poem and a short story published in a multi-district literary journal. Unfortunately, little of his early works survive. He returned to writing shortly after he retired from the practice of law, having been a prosecuting attorney for most of his career, using his literary bent in his many successful jury arguments.

His works can be found and followed on Facebook, on both his page and the M Teresa Clayton collaboration page.
