The town of Palegrave was one that survived on gossip, rumors and the occasional true story. Like all other small towns the people that lived in it didn't have much to do other than stirr drama whenever they could. So it came as a dreadfull surprize when Palegrave's most terrible accident spread through the old town one sinister morning.
It all started, or so the town thought, with the unique love story of Charlie Jackson and Pixie Hamilton. They were adored by all the townspeople and praised for their love. Their first date resulted in finding a small daimond in the river that must've been missed by the miners over 50 years ago and their presence lightened the townspeople more than the movie screen at the drive in. On December 16 1994 Charlie Jackson celebrated his 21st birthday. He invited all of the town and it was outstanding successful. Charlie was particularly excited that evening for Pixie promised the biggest gift of all. They left the magnificent Jacksons' Mansion and entered the woods just beyond one of the misty meadows.
They walked through the green scenery accompanied by the soft touch of moonlight shining through the trees. Their fingers were tangled together and their eyes never left the other one.
"Are you nervous Charlie?" Pixie asked.
Charlie smiled but didn't reply. He did this when he knew saying nothing was the best answer he could give. Pixie's eyes sparkled with satisfaction as she pulled him left. Charlie stopped in his foosteps.
"The wells are this way." He motioned in the opposite direction and for a moment a panicked expression flashed over his face.
"I know, I thought the river might be more...private." She stepped closer to him and gently touched his chest with her hands.
"The wells, can we please go there instead?" He asked as he took her hands into his and met with her gaze. A flicker of confusion sparkled in Pixie's eyes but then she nodded and off they were, to the wells.
It took them exactly 40 minutes to walk from the palace to the wells and when they did the cloudy sky had cleared up into a constellation of bright stars.
"Charlie Jackson...happy birthday." Pixie whispered as they went to lay on the soft ground just infront of the biggest well's egde. Charlie smiled "What is my birthday present?"
"You'll find out soon enough." Pixie said then gently unbuttoned her white blouse untill her chest was covered by the thin lace of a bra. She pushed him to the ground, heart beating in throat and lust dripping. They fell into a passionate kiss, his hands around her waist, daring to unhook her bra and her arms around his neck. "I trust you Charlie Jackson." She moaned.

The Jackson's mansion was one of a kind. The trees played in shows of silhouettes on the big walls of the house, the moonlight illuminated the sinister windows and on a normal night they might've all been dark but tonight they were alive.
Although Jackson was off in the woods his birthday party kept going for several more hours. Maison Lively was standing on the coffee table in one of the living rooms. His brow was glistening with heat and his clothes soaked in a mixture of sweat and alcohol. He laughed and the growing crowd around him cheered and cheered. He dramatically took the liquor from a fellow drunk and started downing it in front of the whole crowd. The party erupted when he finished the last bit and dropped the bottle to the ground.
His vision started to blur and before he knew it his rescuer was already by his side. Ravin Haywood might be the most boring person in school, or at least she was back then, but she always attended parties to make sure her best friends were safe. Charlie and Maison were the only constants in her life and she wasn't going to leave them, ever.
She dragged him out of the front door into a hammering silence, leaving the party behind. Maison gagged and immediately turned towards a nearby bush, throwing up most the liquor. When he came up to Ravin's disturbed expression he turned around and was met by n very disturbing image of Pixie Hamilton.
The girl that had beautifully disappeared into the woods exactly 5 hours ago was now covered in mud, blood and most oddly, ink. She was shivering in fear and confusion and her eyes seem to have gone mad.
"Pixie?" Ravin asked stepping closer.
"Where's Jackson? What happened?"

That night the piloce detained Pixie for questioning and was shocked to realise she couldn't remember anything. The following morning Charlie's body wad discovered. It was a gruesome death and it filled even the sheriff with a sort of fear he wasn't trained to deal with.
Charlie Jackson died of blood loss. The body had words carved into it untill it was unrecognizable, even the face, identifying him had to be done through blood tissue because even his fingerprints were no longer available.
Pixie Hamilton was arrested for his murder the Wednesday after his death and instead of being sent to prison she was sentenced to a whole year in New York Asylum due to a psyc test indicating that Pixie was, well...crazy.
The tragic ending of Palegrave's most recent lovestory was spoken of for months to come and when the news arrived that Pixie Hamilton was returning to Palegrave the townspeople was shocked. Why was she returning? Nobody knew.
All everyone knew was that she was back, and that made Palegrave grow even paler.
