Chapter Three

Madison's P.O.V.

I walked in and saw a note on the table:

"Dear Mad, I went to the grocery store because we are low on milk and bread Ill be back around 3. Love you, Mom"

I went up to my room and unpacked the last of my stuff, and yes I didn't finish from a while ago. I put up posters, pictures of me and friends, and all of my others nicknacks. My dad was still at work, Angela and Lily were in their rooms, Sam was at his friends house, and Josh was who know where. Suddenly, the phone started ringing. I answered it:

Me: Hello?

?: Hello, is this Madison Winston?

Me: Yes

Officer: Hello, I am Officer Smith. I have to inform you that your mother has gotten into a car accident and is in the hospital.

Me: .........(tears streaming down my face)

Then the officer hung up, and I just stood there, frozen with shock. Then I saw Angela coming down the stairs, and i told her to get Lily and we were going to the hospital. I called dad and told him to meet me at the hospital and to pick up Sam. I then called Josh and told him to go to the hospital, and of course, I had to leave a message. I got into my black camaro and sped down the street. Angela and Lily kept on asking " Where are we going" " Whats going on?" I just stayed silent, letting hot tears pour down my face.

I was surprised no cops stopped me, probably because they already knew why. I just sat there in the waiting room with my dad, brothers, Angela, Lily, and Heather( I called her the second we arrived at the hospital). Suddenly, Alex and Austin walked in. I gave them a questioning look and Alex said," We saw you speed down the street and followed you, whats wrong?" " M-m-my mom g-got into a car a-a-accident." They just stood there, shocked. Thats when the doctor walked out

"How is she?" My dad asked, shaking. " Mrs. Winston................
