Katie's P.O.V.
So today I have work. Greeeeaaatt. Not.
I really don't feel like being judged today. I finally get up from bed and do my normal routine. I make some toast and drink some lemonade. Btw I love lemonade. It's a problem. Haha
I walk out my house and start to walk down the street to my work. I catch a taxi and finally make it there.
I walk through the doors and I see the receptionist. She greets me and I say hi back.
I walk up the stairs and take a deep breath. I open the door waiting for someone to just jump down my throat about what I'm wearing or how I did my hair.
I walk up to Lee and he tells me his instructions. I go to hair and makeup. They get me all ready and as I'm stepping down from the chair I see a girl standing next to this big table of ice creme. Yummy! I love ice creme. Thank god I brought my lactate medicine.
"Excuse me. I just want some ice creme." I say sweetly trying not to get in the girls way.
There is one thing though I have to tell you. She isn't just any ordinary girl. She is actually a little person. Others would say midget but I don't like that word.
"Oh yeah! You can get some, here." She says stepping aside letting me get some ice creme.
"Thank you. I'm Katie." I say smiling at her.
"I'm Sissy! I just started today." She says all happily.
"I'm not trying to be rude but-" she cuts me off.
"I know I know and midget as a model? It's possible? Actually yes. I'm just the first ever little person model." She says informing me.
"I was just going to say your skirt is tucked in your underwear, but congratulations about being the first little person model." I say laughing a bit.
Her eyes widen and she pulls her skirt out of her underwear. She laughs a bit and continues to eat her ice creme.
"Thanks. I wonder how long it's been like that. No one here is really nice. Well except you." She says putting her bowl down.
"Haha yeah I know. I'm kind of alone here. I remember my first day here. I went home crying. You're really nice too." I say scooping ice creme in my bowl.
"Really? Nuts." She says looking down.
"I know. It is nuts." I say putting some sprinkles on my vanilla ice creme.
"No haha I meant do you want some nuts?" She asks holding up a bowl.
"Oh no. No it's fine." Oh boy that was close. I'm allergic to nuts.
We finally get into our outfits and head our way to the set.
After 2 hours of orders and evil looks, we were able to leave to go home.
"Wanna come back to mine? I love hanging with you." I say making my way over to the street.
"Oh okay! I love hanging out with you too!" She says walking with me.
We walk all the way to my house and on our way there we talk about everything. I learned so much about her.
She's from Georgia and has a country accent. She moved here to start a career in modeling. It was easy for her since she was absolutely gorgeous! She had long brown hair and piercing blue eyes. Her smile was so freaking adorable. It lit up the room immediately when she smiled. That's not the half of it though. She was so nice and so funny, I can see me becoming really good friends with her.
We make it to my house and just hang out for the rest of the day.
It started to get late and she called a taxi to come pick her up. I had such a great time with her!
*2 Weeks Later*
Me and sissy were pretty much best friends. We texted all day and called each other all the time.
Today we were called into the agency and to Lee's office. I was terrified. I think I'm getting fired. Sissy and I show up and go to Lee's office.
He sat us down and started to talk.
"Okay girls. We are having some budget cuts. Unfortunately we have to get rid of one of your houses. So I was actually wondering if you would share a house together. Katie you have the bigger one so of course Sissy would move in with you." He said.
A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders when I heard that. Thank god! I thought I was fired for sure.
"Of course! I would be more than happy to let Sissy to move in with me!" I said excitedly since I freaking love this girl.
"Yeah I have no problem with moving in with Katie." She says with a giant smile on her face.
"Perfect. We will move you out this week. I suggest you pack your bags as soon as possible and take it to Katie's." He said and dismissed us.
We both walk out and scream.
"YAY!! I can't believe you're moving in with me!!" I screamed jumping up and down.
"I know! Okay let's go to my house and pack all my stuff. We can maybe be done by tonight!" She says.
We catch a taxi and make it to her house. We run up her stairs and to her room. She grabs her suitcases and starts pouring clothes into them. I start to take down all her pictures and anything else that needs to be packed up.
She was right. We were too excited, we got everything done that night. I mean it was 3:00 a.m. when we finished but it was fun!
We really are officially best friends.
