Collin was just a like ten min behind me
As I arrived back to the house, I saw a car, in the drive way, its, no it can’t be…..
That car should not be in the drive way
I parked my car and took a breath. This can’t be happening, he can’t be here. I thought it was all over what doesn’t he understand? He is one of the main reasons I have to stay at home this summer. What is he even doing here? He isn’t even supposed to be in the country.
I took a breath and went into the house.
“It’s about time you are back” Jason said creeping out of the shadows, I jumped. “Oh my soul!” putting my hand over my chest, “you almost gave me a heart attack.” “My car is outside.” He took a step closer to me. Wow he is just such an asshole. “Yes I saw it, I'm not blind, but you lurking in the shadows was not what I expected.”, bumping him as I walked away I stormed off to the kitchen.
“Penelope! Don’t you walk away from me!” yelling behind me, but I did not turn around, so he followed me. “What do you want Jason?” I said putting my hands on the counter and taking a breath. “Aren’t you supposed to be like across the world right now?” I looked up and he smiled at me, his mind melting smile, but after everything that happened this year I don’t melt anymore. “Come on Penelope, you know I'm sorry, it won’t happen again.” Then I got mad, yelling didn’t help but it sure as hell made me feel better for at least a few minutes. “yea your right it won’t happen again, and if you don’t remember we are done, don’t you get that.” Looking in his eyes when I said that hoping it will go through his thick skull. “it also happened to me, it dint just affect you, I had the same pain!” his face went red as he slammed his fists on the counter top in the kitchen. “It was your fault it happened!” “You didn’t have to do anything you didn’t want to! You knew that!!” “Yea but I didn’t push any one to the edge and then just…!” the yelling got heated but was interrupted by Collin.
As usual he just stood there as if nothing is happening, but his eyes caught mine and I got pulled into my thoughts of him. Jason smiles as if he just figured out something so very important that is happening here, but since there was nothing going on, he was just being the master idiot he always was.
“Well; well; well, what do we have here?” he walked all cocky towards Collin. Collins jaw clenched. Jason turned so he can see both of us and said:
“Are you sleeping with him?” he pointed to me and the Collin.
Without thinking or hesitating I responded.
“What? No”
But as I closed my mouth I looked at Collin, seeing no emotion on his face I let it go. I couldn’t help but wonder if was masking anything or if he was just not caring, no he is just another bad boy he doesn’t care, I don’t need any of them in my life. Pulled out of thought I looked at Jason that was still continuing on about me and Collin.
“Then what is he doing here?” like I had to defend myself but me myself and I can’t back down.
“My dad said he could stay in the pool house.”
Jason turned his back on Collin walked over to me and stood in my face. I was so scared at this moment that my heart was really going to have an attack.
“So you are fucking the pool boy!” he teeth grinded against each other as he said that in my face I could even focus my eyes that is how close he was.
I was use to the yelling, we fought all the time, but he took my arms in his hands he was hurting me, and he started shaking me, suddenly he let go and I was on the floor.
Everything went in and out of focus, I could feel my head starting to hurt, I heard yelling then feet all over the floor scuffling….
I was out.
I was in bed; I knew it because I could feel my sheets on my bear legs and arms. I felt calm surprisingly enough. I then opened my eyes to see day light coming from the windows and in the corner of the room on one of my comfy sofa-chairs, I saw Collin. I sat up and he looked at me.
“You were out for about 14hours.”
“What happened to you?” he had a cut on his lip and a bruise on the left side of his face. It look as if could hurt.
He stood up and came to sit on the bed by me, I looked down. He makes me nervous. He smirked. “you should see the other guy” but as he said it I know he regretted speaking, since his lip still hurt. “Hopefully I will never see Jason again.” Softly the words came out. Collin didn’t push the subject any further and I was grateful. I just looked at him and he looked at me. I shifted so I could touch his face, I reached for it, he didn’t pull away my fingers lightly on his bruise but my fingers the went to his lips, the lips I kissed the soft yet strong lips that now had been hurt all because of me.
“Does it hurt?”
He sighed and moved of the bed leaving me empty, “Want a smoke?”
I nodded “But outside.” He got up and went out. I stood up and saw I was only in a big t-shirt. I was wondering how I got in it but was distracted by the door opening.
“Oh sorry I didn’t know you were awake, Miss Penelope”
“It’s okay you can come in”
“I was just wondering if I could bring Mr Collin… or you, miss, miss Penelope” she was so nervous.
“It’s okay, you don’t have to be nervous, call me Penelope, and as for that drink can you bring some coke and ice tea please” She looked shocked. So she only nodded and went to do as I told. I never learned any of the helps names since every time my mom gets home they get fired. I went out to find Collin leaning over the railing, looking down, and smoke in his hand. “What happened?” Before he could answer my phone was going off like and alarm clock. So I quickly went in and saw it was a bunch of texts saying there is a house party tonight at 43 Wallberry Street @ 9.
