The Secret Garden of Eliza

I kept running until my legs hurt. I didn't know what game we were playing this time but I was having so much fun that I didn't want to stop. Russell told me we were going on a new adventure. I love adventures so I followed him through the trees. He stayed in the sky as I ran on the ground. The outside smelled of pine and honey which made my stomach rumble. The sun was just above the mountains when we found the garden. It was a gorgeous and wonderful garden with millions upon millions of flowers and butterflies. The little caterpillars said hello to me as I walked past. "Hello Flora!!" They said. I didn't exactly knew how they knew my name. Mostly everyone in my village knew my name so maybe word got around. Russell opened up the golden entrance to the garden, "Welcome to the Secret Garden of Eliza!" He said, standing proudly. Russell waiting for me to respond but I was to in awe about what I was seeing. There were so many trees and other animals. My heart flopped at the sight of a small pond in the middle of the garden. I knew that this was going to be an amazing adventure.

"Russell!" I called out. Right after I had looked over at the pond, Russell seemed to have disappeared! I shouted out his name a few more times before giving up. I decided to go and look for him by the pond. "Wait.. Russell doesn't like water.." I thought to myself. I called out his name once more, no answer. I looked around and noticed something odd about the trees. I placed my hand on one of the leaves, then suddenly a sharp pain shot through my hand. "Ouch!!" I squealed. I looked at my now bloody palm. "What is wrong with this tree? It cut me!" I looked at the leaf a little closer and noticed the tiny knife like needles. I stepped away from the tree and decided to go smell a flower instead. It looked harmless, but right when I put my nose close to it to smell it, the sharp pain shot through my nose! "What the hell!!" I shouted. I touched my nose and looked at my bloody fingers. I needed to get out of this garden! I ran as fast as I could back to the front gate. There, I found Russell. His tail was bleeding and so was his paw. "Russell!! Are you alright?!" I said. Russell nodded and pointed to the gate, "W-We need to get out of h-ere" he said, his voice weak. Russell collapsed to the ground and all you could hear was a CRACK! He was in serious pain so I put him on my back. I started running toward the gate when I noticed someone running in the bushes. He was small, almost doll size. With big blue eyes and skinny limbs. He resembled a demon from the hell gates. I screamed and ran even faster until I got to the gate. "STOP RIGHT THERE!" the small demon said. His demonic voice sent shivers up my spine. I quickly opened the gate and started running back to the village. In the distance I heard a faint voice that called out "I WILL KILL YOU SOMEDAY FLORA! MARK MY WORDS!"

When I got us both back safe to my village I set Russell down in on a medical bed. He looked severely bruised and scratched. I stitched him up and gave him a few drops of kitty ointment. Never again would I ever go back to the secret garden of Eliza.
