"Ouch." Raixah moaned strenuously, arching her back attempting to stretch the pain out of it. She sniffed the air, it was fresh and soothing, which surprised her. Last time her father Tanulak, spoke to her about this Earth she had arrived on, he had said that it was polluted and near destroyed. He had also said that the humans were too stupid to fix it. The crater that surrounded Raixah was lined with rich soil. "Damn it! Is this even Earth?" Raixah asked herself sitting up. Everything she had seen so far was the opposite of what her father had described it. She dug her toes into the soil, letting it run between them.
Raixah rose to her feet. Her fiery brownish orange eyes, were colored like dark brown leather in the faded moonlight. Unlike most people from her planet, Enzui, she had all the powers ever given to an Enzu. She was gifted with perfect vision in the dark, ability to fly, partial transformation, ability of telepathy, and healing. Raixah was still working out the kinks of her powers.
"And now, to get out of this hole." Raixah planned gazing up to where the crater met the surface. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity. She could not see over the crater, but she was about to. Raixah swiftly lunged from the bottom of the 20-feet-deep-hole And in one jump, made it to the surface. She made it to the very edge of the crater, landing on it, almost falling back in. Raixah waved her arms, horizontally, in circles and gained balance again. She began to notice her surroundings. The first thing Raixah noticed was a lake, glimmering in the moonlight. 'Wow, water.' She smiled entertained by this sight. She had never seen water before. Enzus didn't need water to survive. But, she was afraid of the water. So, Raixah stayed far away from the water, but examined it from afar.
Raixah began to walk around the lake. Miniscule rocks surrounded the lake. They were a cold-looking grey color. Raixah's feet were bare and the rocks pushed up against the soles of her feet. They were cold and it gave her feet tingling sensations. "I like this place. But how is it Earth. The year is 2236. How can it be this... Nature-filled?" Raixah asked herself. She looked to the moon and pondered. Then all of a sudden the sound of shattering glass filled the area.
Raixah looked up and sniffed the air. The hole in the ceiling where che came from that she just noticed was getting bigger.Raixah looked up and the sky seemed to shatter above her. Terror filled her heart and her eyes shot open. From the middle of the 'sky' glass began to fall. "Oh hell!" Raixah shrieked covering her head pushing down her long pointy ears down, causing them to tickle her neck. As the glass fell it revealed the actual sky which was bluish brown. Raixah was disgusted. "I knew it was too good to be true." She said to herself. As she ran, glass kept falling from the ceiling.
Raixah stopped to think for a second. 'Maybe I should fly." She thought, afraid of the glass. Shattering noises filled the room and then an alarm began to go off. "Shit." She whispered. Tanulak had always told her that the human swear words were inferior and she should not utter them, but Raixah didn't care. She launched herself off the ground into the air shooting herself into the disgusting troposphere of Earth, or what was left of it. Once she made it above the glass ceiling she glared at her surroundings.
"This is terrible." Raixah snarled in anger. She hated it when she got her hopes up just to see disappointment. Rolling her eyes she descended to the beaten ground. There were nearly no green in sight. It was dark outside but Raixah could see clearly. This Earth was exactly how her father had described it. Maybe she should go back to Enzui and do what her father said and put the remainder of the population of Earth out of their misery.
