Dream horse

Archway ranch

I sat in the backseat of our family car, we have been driving for 5 hours and I was ready to see our new home. We were moving somewhere out in the country, I couldn't be more excited. My best friends Olivia and Judy were also excited for me, it was summer break and we've been taking riding lessons for 4 years, they both had there own horses Olivia's horse was Firefly, he was a black quarter horse 14 hands high. Judy's horse was Lacey, a white pony. Me... not so much. I rode lesson horses at archway ranch, a beautiful stable where Liv and Judy kept their horses, they lived in the country but didn't own a barn. I've never seen my new house, it would be a surprise. We drove past a huge house with grey bricks, the windows were huge and the land around it was giant, in the back a stunning brown barn surrounded by trees, pastures and fences sat there. "Alexa, were almost there!" Dad said. Before I could say a word we turned into the drive way of the house and barn I had been staring at. "W-what?" I questioned. "Is this... is this our house?" I said shaking not believing my own words. "Sure is" mom said. "We have a barn!" I said screaming louder then I should have. They laughed, I opened the door of our van and ran as fast as I could towards the barn, as I got closer I stopped and stared, I can't believe this is happening! I flung open the barn doors and 12 stalls caught my eye, each was totally clean! I ran past them and looked inside the huge arena with open windows and doors to let in some light, I flicked on the light switch and the barn glowed. My parents ran in after me, "did you really miss the best thing?" Mom asked. "It can't get better!" I replied. "How do you expect to use all this stuff without a horse?" Dad said. I frowned not even realizing it. "Go look in the 11 stall" mom said smiling. I dashed over to the stall, stopped and looked, this was all too much. A beautiful white horse stood in the stall sticking her head out and nudged me. "Meet your very own horse Chicki!" Dad said. "Surprise!!" Everyone said jumping out of there hiding spots, I seen Judy and Liv out in the corner. "You have a horse!" Liv screamed, "me and Judy are boarding firefly and Lacey here now too! We can ride whenever!". Joy, happiness and so many emotions crossed my mind, I started crying (of happiness of course!) I hugged everyone saying thank you a million times, now all I wanted to do was see Chicki, ride her, brush her, clean her stall, do everything that I needed to do to care for her. I realized I haven't even seen my house yet! "Thank you all so much!" I walked over and hugged Chicki. I loved her already. About 30 minuets later my grandparents, aunts, uncles and everyone left. Judy and Liv were coming back later on to get their horses stalls, and bring their tack, to my tack room... my tack room! I rushed into  a room on the left side of the barn, it was huge! And I had a shiny English saddle and black bridle, next to me brown western saddle and bridle! I loved this. I walked out of the barn with my parents thanking them. "I promise I'll pay for my own shows! And I'll even pay for her food and everything! I can't thank you enough!" I said again and again. My parents showed my around my house, it was beautiful.
