"Look how happy he is."

Our blue haired friend was taking pictures with his beloved, the brightest smile we've ever seen on him. He was anxious about having another photographer at his wedding but obliged anyway, doing it because (Y/n) mostly convinced him.

"Yes. I haven't seen him this happy in a long time." Jumin took a sip of his wine, deciding to skip champagne unlike everyone else.

The (h/c) haired girl smiled sadly. "I'm gonna miss him."

Jumin looked at the beauty beside him. She was wearing a gorgeous bridesmaid dress, her hair perfectly done for the occasion.

"He will still be there for us. We'll always be there for you."

She bumped shoulders with him as the newlyweds began to cut the first piece of cake, bring his attention back to the couple.

As the cake was being passed out, (Y/n) was the first to have a slice in her hands. She had always loved cake, remembering some of the times with Jumin and Jihyun eating and playing in the backyard.

Jumin gazed at the girl, mentally smiling at her as she beamed at the cake in her hand and taking a bite.

"Ah! This is my favorite! Remember when your nanny used to bake this for us?" She smiled, taking another bite. Jumin looked at the dessert in front of him, he remembered that moment clear as day.

"It was when you forgot Elizabeth the Third's birthday, trust me I'll never forget it."

The girl smiled sheepishly as he somewhat chuckled at the foolishness that taken place in his younger years.

"I was two days off, it's not that bad." She reasoned, placing the fork on a now empty plate.

Jumin watched as couples moved to the dance floor, drinking the last bit of wine before placing the glass down.

He stood up, sticking his hand out as (e/c) eyes flickered towards it. Placing her (s/n) hand in his, she followed her suitor to the dance floor.

Jumin placed a hand on her hip and the other stayed laced with her fingers, they moved in sync to the music.

"I always preferred dancing with Jihyun though, you always missed steps." She laughed, they were talking about what happened at an event years ago. When they were 16 and she danced with both boys.

Jumin slightly ticked off by her preference for Jihyun and began adding complex steps to the dance, pulling their bodies closer.

"How about now?" He whispered, his breath fanning the porcelain skin of the maiden.

She bit her lips slightly, moments like these didn't happen often. But they did happen.

"Meh." She teased, him emitting a small chuckle.

As if it could the dance began to get more fast paced, she could hardly keep up.

He was better than Jihyun.

Jihyun was gentle, though Jumin could be the same way with competition and jealousy he acted so different.

The two locked eyes as her chest rose and fell. It grazed his own and the tension between the two rose significantly, the proximity between them decreasing.

As if everyone in the room disappeared, all she could see was Jumin. His face looked slightly nervous, as if he didn't know whether this was alright.

She pulled him closer, breaking down all metaphorical walls that stood between them.

Jihyun was watching from beside his wife, looking at his two best friends. Rui was the photographer for this event and was talking to them as he took pictures. Jihyun watched the two blush and continue to dance as if nothing happened. Though he lost the girl of his dreams he was happy for his friend, if it could not be him he was happy it was his best friend. After all he had another girl to save.

He gazed at the girl beside him and hoped she kept her smile. Though his eyes flickered to his childhood friend who had wished deep in his heart he was actually with. The tiny tea parties they shared, the prince saving the world game they used to play. He missed all of it.

At least one got the good end.
