Chapter 4: A Confusing Day

I couldn't stop thinking about Sean. He gave me his necklace...he told me to leave him alone, so why wasn't he leaving me alone? I don't understand anything. It's like he changed his mind; but why stalk me with some chick? I don't understand the logic in this situation. I'm trying to put the pieces together but they just don't fit. I let out a huge growl. Why was he doing this to me? I turned the radio on. 

 "This is a song dedicated to Piper, love Sean." the man spoke. My eyes widened. What? The song was 'Just Give Me A Reason' by P!nk and Nate Ruess. Normally I would be flattered, but this time? I was annoyed. He is too confusing. I'M SO CONFUSED. I texted him while driving (guilty). 

What the fuck? Do you love me or not? Quit the games. 

I waited for a response. I know he saw it! It said 'read'. So now he was ignoring me? 

Whatever Sean. I'm done. If you're following me; go home. I texted again rolling my eyes. The truth is, I didn't want him to leave; but if he wanted me back? He was going to have to pay. Maybe he realized the blonde is just another bimbo. Yeah, I laughed. She's not even that pretty.

Sean POV

  She was not amused. No sirree. I wanted her back. That's why I was chasing her to UWO. I only left because I needed her to leave first; but now that she is going, I need her. I want her kiss, her hugs, her. I looked at her texts. Maybe I was playing games. I mean, I left her, I pretended I was on a road trip to stalk her with a high school girl, I gave her a picture of Jane and me, I gave her my necklace, and now I played a song for her. Oh fuck; I screwed up. Jane looked at me concerned.

"She text you?" I nodded. "What did she say?" 

"She's..done." I fought back tears. I screwed everything up. The song 'Need You Now' came on. Jane quickly shut it off. I looked at Jane.

"We need to go home." I said with a force. Her face turned into a ball of confusion.

"Why?" She asked me. I thought about ignoring her, but she was helping me; so I began.

"I've confused her. Hell, i've confused myself. I've been messing with her heart. She needs space now." I demanded. Jane scoffed and kept driving. "Jane." I forced. She ignored me. "Jane!" I yelled again and she looked at me. 

"Sean, you want this. You want her; so what if it's a bumpy ride? We'll just leave her alone for the rest of the car trip; make a big surprise at her dorm. I'm sure she secretly wants you to keep driving. Like when someone says their fine, she's not. Or when someone says "you can go to sleep" they really mean stay up all night with me please. In this case, she's probably just playing hard to get. She's making you pay for what you did before you get her back." She stated. I looked out in the window; knowing she was right. She always has been. 

"Fine. We'll continue the road trip. You're right." I nodded at her. I saw her grin and she drove faster. 

"I always am." She smirked. "You guys are hella' serious." She added. I laughed because once again, she was right.
