Ian POV

You know, there's always that one person that can make your stomach hurt just by looking at them. And right now, it's happening to me.

Nickita, another friend of mine, just made the weirdest face I had ever seen before.

His eyes were bulging out like they would fall out any moment. His nose was scrunched up, and his mouth was wide open as his tongue hung loosely.

Everyone at the table laughed hysterically. Jayce even fell off his chair and Jack even farted. We laughed harder if possible and forgot why we were laughing for a second.

Nickita ate this Thai chili pepper and as soon as he bit into it, he was begging for the water to slide down his throat. Mason handed him his water bottle as he was trying to catch his breath.

Nickita took it eagerly and downed the water as fast as he could. That only made things worse... for Nickita, that is.

He closed the bottle as fast as he could before he was running around the cafeteria while his mouth was wide open and panting.

He was even screaming, "HOT JESUS, THIS IS -AAAAHHH!! DEAR LORD HELP ME!! THIS IS SATAN'S DOING!! HELP ME!!"

When he got back to the table, he was sweating bullets and was still panting. He looked at us and begged.

"Guys, seriously. I NEED THE ANTIDOTE FOR THIS FUCKING POISONING ON MY PRECIOUS TONGUE!!"

We just kept laughing until John gave him his leftover milk. Nickita thanked him before chugging the milk down.

And that's what leads us the present.

We all calmed down after awhile, and went back to conversing with each other.

I received a message from an unknown number just while I was talking to Johnathan.

Unknown number: Hey dude, you okay? ik my group laughs like 100 times a minute, but I've never heard your group laugh almost louder than us :p

I frowned at the message, and I felt Johnathan look at me curiously. I just shrugged. He narrowed his eyes before joining a conversation with Jayce.

*ding!*

Unknown number: Dude, just look to your left and I'll wave at you .-.

Doing as told, I turned and saw a girl with black hair and glasses. She smirked and waved. Widening my eyes, I realized it was Yueriss.

Back in fourth grade, Yueriss and I competed to see who would finish their assignments faster. She always won when it came to science and L.A., but I was always good at math and social studies.

We never hung out as friends, but we talked a lot and shared many interests, since we were seated beside each other for about 3 quarters of the school year.

As I waved back, I could feel the curious glances at me, but I turned to my phone before they figured out who I was waving to. They'd just end up coming to conclusions and won't shut up.

me: how'd you even get my number?

Yueriss: lol, it was super easy. just had to ask Nickita.

me: -_-

Yueriss: ^^

I glanced back at her again before turning back to my phone when I heard the "ding".

As my eyes scanned the following message, I felt my blood run cold.

Yueriss: Go to Ethan's house this Saturday. It starts at 7. Bring Johnathan and anyone else who's interested.
Yueriss: PLEASE!!!

I looked up at her to see her serious face. I pursed my lips together before nodding. She smirked and got up to who knows where.

I don't even know why I agreed. Maybe the party's gonna be fun.
Who knows? We're in high school!
