Prologue

It's rare to find someone magical in today's time. Magic was run out of the town years ago by the evil witch, Mackenzie. Life had been peaceful, but without magic, the town had faded.

This particular town was called Btown, a wonderful little village. Full of coffee shops and bong-robbed convenience stores.

In this town lived a girl, and not just any ordinary girl. Her name was Katie, and she had a secret.

Katie had magical abilities. She had managed to shield her powers from the wrath of Mackenzie, living in secrecy. If it weren't for her roommate, Alex Karev, she may not have made it this far.

Alex had hid her from Mackenzie, protecting her identity and powers from the rest of the town.

That is, until one day...
