The Betrayal

Alex had went behind Katie's back, sharing information with Mackenzie in order to get a scholarship for Med School.

"So... where's the little nugget-muncher now?" Mackenzie hissed, her voice seeping with rage.

Alex bit his lip, hesitating, he was putting his best friend at risk. He didn't want to do this, but he felt as though he needed to tell the truth. He needed that scholarship to fulfill his dream of one day becoming a surgeon.

"She's.... Shes in my apartment, hiding." He whispered shamefully.

"Lit," She said, "We'll drop on by and catch her ousside how bout dah."

Regret tugged on Alex's heart, he couldn't believe what he'd done. "You'll catch her outside?"

Alex dropped to the floor in tears, he had just betrayed his only friend. He rolled onto his back and wept, his tears flowing freely. He began to sing a song of friendship, his heart aching with each word.

"This is my friendship song,
I'll sing it all day long.
This is my friendship song,
Feel free to sing along."

His voice was broken, as was his heart.

Mackenzie took her McDonald's coupons and ran, her heart beating faster and faster. She would finally rid Btown of all magic, once and for all...
