Chapter one- latte
The wind strongly blows as I struggle to walk down the street. Every day the same repeated schedule having to get up in the morning not being aware of what you are doing and the only person you can rely on is not even a person it's a dog. I had been trying to cross the street feeling the soft tug of my guide dog Benji. I had always hated crossing the road the horrible sounds of cars passing and that vivid sound of the ambulance still was in my head. I slowly walked across having one arm infront of me and the other hand holding Benji's leash tightly. I feel the tip of my shoes hit the slight rise of the side walk I sigh in relief as I walk on the side walk softly humming. I walked as I feel a soft wind of a running person pass by me "where is the cafe?" I ask quickly hoping the person passing heard. "Down the street to the left" a voice of a man answered back I give a quick smile thanking the kind man before walking off. Benji had been trained to know the busy streets of Chicago and had no problems navigating "Benji down the street to the left" I say petting his back as he started walking.
I walked keeping my head up just trying to imagine what it the the houses and cars looked like but nothing much came to my head. I quickly got the smell of the fresh baked donuts and the newly made coffee. I grabbed the handle entering the cafe I walked slowly putting my hand infront of me hitting a side of the counter "Hi..can I get a sma-" I was interrupted by a soft familiar voice. "This way Minji" my friend Eun says taking me to a chair with Benji. "A small latte?" Eun says. Eun had been my long time friend she had always taken my order and was always kind hearted to those around her. I nodded petting Benji's back hearing foot steps walk farther away. I sit there in silence catching the sounds that had been made from the people around me. I continued petting Benji breathing softly waiting for the latte. I then hear footsteps and the slight sound of the cup hit the glass table "here you go" Eun said softly giving a soft smile I sadly couldn't get to see. I place my hand on the table moving it around slowly feeling the tip of my fingers feel the warm cup. "Thanks you, Eun" I say giving her a smile as I pick up my latte slowly getting up taking out my wallet from my small bag. "Eun ..can you do me a favor and take out the money ?" I ask. I felt Eun's hand touch my shoulder "don't worry about it" she said as her hand had no longer been in my shoulder. I heard footsteps walk farther away from me slowly I let out a sigh trying to find my way out the door. Benji licked my hand with his soft warm tongue and I put my hand infront of me hitting the door handle. I open the cafe door feeling the wind blow in my face blowing the small pieces of hair covering my face. I walk out hearing the busy streets once again I feel the step down from the side walk to the street once again I still questioned why I was so scared of even taking a step on the road I felt so ..weak like if the road had overpowered me I always became so nervous crossing the road. I hesitate to take a small step still holding onto Benji's leash tightly I feel his pulls yet I still kept taking baby steps like a small little penguin I take a deep breath slowly going back to normality hearing the loud sound of a horn coming closer not increasing the paste of my speed I Become paralyzed to the same exact sound I heard at the scene of my mother's death. I feel Benji's tug but was in too much shock to move in heard his loud barks trying to tell me to move yet I couldn't the sound came closer and closer.

(Sorry probably not the best story but hope you did enjoy! I will try to do part two as soon as possible maybe even do different things. But so long! (; and I know this is not super long but idk I'll try to make it longer next time. )
