PERRIE

I woke up in my room with last night's makeup smeared on my face and an intense headache pounding through my skull.

What did I do last night?

Suddenly, all my memories came flooding back.

         Jade caught Zayn and I.

         Jade slapped me.

She called me a boyfriend stealer and a slut.

         I ran away.

         I went to a bar…

That was all I could remember.  I looked in the mirror, and there was an obvious scratch from a fingernail running down my cheek.  I started crying again.  It was all real.  My first instinct was to call Ed.

         “Hello,” Ed asked, sounding chipper.

I couldn’t answer, I could only sniffle and sob on the other end.

“Perrie, are you okay?!” He sounded worried.

“No, I’m not.  I screwed up bigtime, Ed.”

“Just hold on.  I’ll be right there,” He said, hanging up.

I was just finishing taking off my makeup when Ed knocked on the door.

“Hey,” I said, my voice was shaky and sore.

“Oh, baby, what’s wrong,” He asked, giving me a hug and pushing the door shut with his foot.

         “Jade knows.”

         “How?”

“She saw us kissing,” I said, my voice muffled against his chest.

“It’s going to be alright though.  Have you talked to Zayn at all?”

“No, I ran,” I said, shifting my head so it was resting on his shoulder.

         “Perrie,” He groaned in exasperation.

         “What?” I asked defensively.

“You have got to stop running from things!”  He laughed.  “It’s setting you back farther if anything.”

“You sound like Liam,” I said.

“I’ll take that as a compliment, thank you.”

“Calm down fanboy!” I said half mockingly.

“Hey, let’s gets some ice cream.  Traditional sadness food.”

         “Sure,” I said.

We walked to the local ice cream shop, Ed’s arm draped over my shoulder.  I felt slightly better, but never once did I stop thinking about Zayn.  I shouldn’t have left like that, but Jade shouldn't have slapped me.  It brought me back to that first day on the job at George Street...  After that, I tried to focus on whatever Ed was talking about.

         “Hey, Perrie?”

“What?” I asked, snapping out of my trance.

         “Want to go?”

         “Okay,” I said.

Just when we were leaving the shop was when the dozens of men ran out of their black trucks towards us.  I was stunned at first and didn’t know what to do so I froze.  I was bombarded with…
