PART ONE

Nasir stares at the ceiling hesitant on getting up from his bed. He unplugs his phone and stares at the date, August 27, 2016. Each day that goes by gets him closer to the new school year. Something nobody wants. He checks his messages and finds nothing spectacular. Then he looks at his snapchat and also finds nothing interesting. He decides to look at facebook for a while until he finds something worthy of taking his time.
Bored out of her mind larae scrolls through her facebook for the 5th time. She did all of her vacation homework (which was a first) and cleaned every room in the house except her room. She decides to post a tbh status hoping it will spark a conversation with anyone that would cure her boredom. Luckily it did. She gets 7 notifications. 6 of the 7 that liked the status were people she saw everyday. But one was unfamiliar. Nasir Dunham. Not knowing what to say for his tbh she creeps on his page. She noticed he hasn't posted anything since 2015. Mysterious she thought. Then she looked at his profile picture. She could barely see his face which made it harder for her to give him a tbh.
"Tbh: I don't know you but I think your cute. Can't see your face all that well in your pfp"

Nasir reads the message and types....
"Thanks. You can tho"
Being the slow person that larae is she tries to figure out what he meant by she can
"Can what?" She asks.
"You can know me"
"Ooohhh I'm slow"
She thought she should warn him ahead of time.
"What's ur name?"
"Larae"
For the rest of the night they got to know each other. Well not for the rest because she fell asleep by 10:30.

For 6 months larae and nasir texted each other non stop. She needed her daily dose of nasir to get through the day. You could say she developed feelings for the boy behind the screen. But she wasn't sure if he felt the same. So she kept it to herself and went on with her life.
Nasir didn't know whether or not he felt for her... but he loved her. And she definitely knew she loved him. He didnt like that she let boys treat her like dirt. He knew she deserved better. And all larae wanted was to see him and to hug him. He made her happy. Nobody made her feel the way he makes her do. She had everything she wanted but him. It's not like she wanted to get married because that's weird even for her but she felt a connection. She felt like she can tell him anything and nothing. He was really her everything. At some point throughout the 6 months of talking larae started to not care what he thought about her. She didn't want it to hold her back just because he doesn't "like to express his feelings".
Nasir wanted to see larae. Not wanted.. needed. And he finally has the chance. Larae was going to New Ro with her bestfriend to visit a shopping center. After telling him her plans and completely forgetting that he lives in New Ro, nasir gets excited. He can surprise her and give her what she wants.
As the day to see her gets closer he gets nervous. What is he going to say? What is he going to do? What are THEY going to do? Then....the day comes. Nasir gets up early to find an outfit. He stops by the store and picks up two snickers and a naked, her favorite drink and candy. DON'T JUDGE! Then he hits the shopping center and waits inside. He already knew what store she was going to first because Zumiez was her favorite. He goes inside Zumiez and walks around. "I don't see why she likes this store" he mumbles. He looks out the store window and recognizes larae fixing her shoe. He places a snicker bar on one of the shelves and the other on another. Then he stands off to the side where he can't be seen and waits.
Larae and Sammy *bestfriend* walk into Zumiez and starts looking around. A minute later larae taps Sammy's shoulder and points towards a snicker bar on the shelf.
"I want it" She said
"Grab it quickly" sammy says
Larae grabs it and stuffs it in her pocket. She turns around and noticed sammy looking at something.
"What?"
"Theres another snickers...can I have it?"
"Wtf no"
Larae grabs the snickers before sammy and starts dancing.
