Torture

Walking around with the smell of morning dew starting to lift, the glowing gaze of the sun between the hanging leaves blesses my face. My arms begin to react to the cold wind, the twigs beneath my feet snap and crunch to the beat of my racing heart. It is so quiet that you can hear the leaves falling and the sound of a river in the background; the thought of the river and its water tease my lips. I feel like I've been walking for hours.

I can still hear the screaming in my head of what I have done. My breathing increases; I didn't mean to do it, it's not my fault. I collapse on the ground from the pressure of what had happened yesterday. They can't find me now. If they do, I'd have to do the same thing as I did to the others. I don't want to, I don't want to go. I shouldn't, it would be too risky. I shouldn't do this.

I fall asleep. I can't remember the disaster of what happened a few days ago. Then it hits me. All I knew was that it was terrible. I wonder what time it is, it is very dark, so it has to be night time. I figure I need to make some sort of fire in order to see. I gather piles of sticks, and once that is done I force the fire to grow, along with my thoughts. I mumble something under my breath and the fire grew. The light is bright and the fire was warm, considering I only had on a hospital gown.

I was so tired of being pricked and poked with needles all because of my telekinesis. I didn't understand why they wanted me. I needed to leave. I had to do it. I can't escape these memories. They keep coming back, but I push them away. Hopefully for good. I start to stroll through these forests to clear my thoughts.

After walking for an hour or two, it hits me. For the first time in my life, I feel calm. I feel peace and it is wonderful. Then the memories flooded back and took control of me. I feel guilty and wrong. I felt that I was a problem, not just any problem. The problem that needed to die. Worry crept over me again. As I grew anxious, it began to rain. I realized that in order to live, I needed to become part of these woods. It wouldn't be difficult for me considering I had no friends and that I wouldn't be making anymore anytime soon.

I started to walk towards the river once it was beginning to lighten up out. The rain had stopped, but everything was wet. I arrived at the river, and to my surprise, there was a fallen tree with a hollowed out trunk and branches. The trunk inside wasn't wet, and the branches of the tree were half in the water. I figured this would be a great place to set up a shelter.

My stomach was roaring like a beast, but I needed to ignore the hunger until my shelter is finished. Covering the bare branches with bark from surrounding trees and fallen branches. I found a wild field about a mile away, took some of the hay that was starting to form, and brought it back to my shelter so that I could use that as a bed. When I was finished, it was starting to become dark out, so I tried to rest from the night.

The next day I went wondering around the forest close to my shelter. I was very excited to have found a blueberry bush. As well as some raspberries and blackberries. I gathered a bunch of them and took note of where to locate them again when I needed. On my way back, something was really strange. The vibrant blue sky suddenly turned to a smokey gray, and the wild started flowing violently. The earth shook and a rumble occurred from behind me. A small boy. He had grabbed my gown and screamed. Then all of the sudden he had disappeared. I got chills all over my body.

I heard the high pitched laughter accompanied with the words "I'm going to get you." I found myself laying on the ground facing a cold pale corpse. Her eyes were sunken in and piercing blue. When you looked into her eyes you saw the death knocking at her door. There was no hope. She was soaking wet and bruised. I was trying to get up but she gripped me so hard. She screeched. The smell of her rotten breath stung my face. Her eyes slowly turned black and she slowly grew fearsome teeth. Her hollow voice echoed in my head.
