So, I've been thinking.
Are we going to be remembered in the future? If one of us writes a book, is anyone going to read it? Are we just going to come and and have no one that we are here? Maybe.
But we can change that.
Go out, do something risky. Wear that loud, bright skirt that you think that no one else will like. Cut your hair super short, or grow it out really long. Start that club that you know can happen but don't know how, or why! Make your voice heard!
Protest for what you believe in! Be remembered as that person that changed their town or city or state or world or community for the better. Write that book that you've been thinking about forever. Ask out that person you have been eying forever! Stay up all night reading or writing! Tweet your favorite stars! Snapchat them!
You may be thinking: Sam, have you finally lost your mind?
No, I haven't.
I was thinking about this because of this project that I am doing. I researched a British suffragette named Hannah Mitchell. Hannah Mitchell was a very important suffragette and socialist.
When Hannah was protesting for women's suffrage, she probably didn't think that she'd be remembered. She probably didn't think: In 2017 an American girl is going to do a project and learn about me!
So many stories are not told when they should be. That's why I'm going to try to start a trend. (Oh boy.)
It's called the #TellAStory campaign. I want you to go out, and google some sort of movement. Find a person in there that is not well known. Then I want you to put something about them on one of your books. Title it with #TellAStory.
Thank you my fluffy bunnies!
