I placed my favorite book, Divergent, onto the top of my new white bookshelf. Today was going to mark, you first official day in Spring Lake since I was finally done unpacking my items after 2 days. My mom and I moved here from Richmond after my mom got a new job here. We've been staying in a hotel for the past couple nights then we would come to the house and unpack our stuff and now, we're finally done! My dad died in a car accident when I was 3 years old. Mom has taken good care of me I'd say! She has to earn all the money and pay for all the bills since I don't have a job but my grandmother helps pitch in a little bit of money. I'm really excited for tomorrow! It'll be my first day of school at Spring Lake High School! The school started about a month ago so I don't think I missed that much stuff. I like my new house a lot! There's lots of trees and I love the grey color of the siding! My mom and I painted my room a really pretty blue color the day we arrived at the house. We brought the left over paint from my old room since I really liked that color. I peeked over at my phone to check the time and saw that it read, "7:36 pm."
"Abby! Time for dinner!" My mom shouted from the bottom level of my house. I was surprised that my mom actually made dinner, but we went grocery shopping earlier so we already had a ton of food. I walked down stairs and saw that my mom had cooked my favorite meal! Steak and asparagus! My mom is an incredible cook and I'm actually so thankful for that! My mom is my best friend. I can tell her anything and she'll listen and help me through my problems. But she's not one of those kinds of mom's that get involved in all the drama. Thankfully. I finished up my meal and kissed my mom good night so I could get some rest for the next morning. I marched up the stairs and went on instagram and Snapchat for about 10 minutes then I picked out my outfit. I decided to go with a cute rose gold tank top with a creme cardigan, white jeans, a white necklace, and my silver shoes. By the time I was done brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and washing my face, it was already 9:00 and I decided to go to bed.AUTHORS NOTE:
I'm so sorry for the short chapter! I'm going to start writing my next one and I'm going to try to get it up tonight! I know this story sucks so far but please give me a chance! I love you all! ~Elizabeth
