Season 1

The three courts of France were as such: the Rose Court, governed by Queen Cardigan; the Animal Court, locked away inside a ravaged castle; and lastly the mysterious Threadland Court, from what was also known as the Fabric Realm and ruled by King Threadbare. The former two courts had been rivals for the throne of France for centuries, but about thirty years ago all had went silent at the Animal Castle. It had been a dark place for the better part of three decades. No one dared go near it. There were rumors a witch had gone there to curse the inhabitants. After that, a beast had appeared.

But about a year ago, a girl from a small country town, Belle French, had ventured there. She had found that the rumors of a witch had been true, but not in the sense everyone had thought. The witch was from Threadland! Inside the Animal Castle, magic of a dangerous thread had formed. A portal from the Fabric Realm had reopened, after so long forgotten. Even the people of France who had Threadland stitching in their veins had begun to think of the place as a myth. But Belle had discovered Threadland's secrets, freeing Princess Aesthetic from a longtime curse, and reopening the bridge between the two realms.

Aesthetic lent her friendship and guidance to France, but the members of the Animal Court had forever been changed. But looking at Prince Animals now, it was clear to see Belle had helped evolve him into a better person. He'd been changed for the better.

Season 2

The three courts of France were as such: the Rose Court, governed by Queen Cardigan; the Animal Court, led by Prince Animals, obviously; and lastly the Threadland Court, from what was also known as the Fabric Realm and ruled by King Threadbare. But after the reawakening of Princess Aesthetic, King Threadbare was angry. He entered the lands of France through the Animal Court's stitched gate-the only gate between Threadland and France in the whole country.

No one saw the king come through, but he was there. He made his way to the Rose Court where he challenged Queen Cardigan and Princess Aesthetic. With the help of Belle French, Prince Animals, and season 2's new hero, Prince Tweed of the Rose Court, it seemed King Threadbare had been defeated. But he came back with an army, and Queen Cardigan was of no help.

In fact, everything the queen did seemed to indirectly benefit Threadbare in some way. After putting down scandals within the Rose Court, the Threadbare Incident was finally put to an end by Belle and friends and the king found himself thrown behind bars. But not without grave consequences. Beloved Queen Cardigan was dead, leaving the kingdoms of France in disarray, and with tensions rising in Spain, France needed a new heir to the throne.

Prince Tweed was set to be the new king, newly betrothed to Princess Aesthetic. Belle saw conspiracy where no one else didn't though, and in season 2's final suspenseful moments, Belle set out for new adventure after a horrible disagreement with Tweed. A disagreement that may have been the end of their friendship.
