It's the next day, I'm going on the adventure to the cave as I'm writing this. I'm almost there. Maybe I'd go faster if I stopped writing words down. Probably, so let's stop writing for a few minutes.
Mike's P.O.V.
I close the book and secure it by putting it in my pocket. A few steps further I hear the singing again. It is a song I am familiar with. Drunken Sailor was heard over the island. A female voice singing it. "Is there someone else here?" I ask myself. Instead of going to the cave, like I intended to, I follow the voice. It leads me to the beach, the voice drawing me closer to the water. Like a spell. "Is anybody there?" The singing turned into a series of swearwords. "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, fuck. I'm so dumb. Why?" It was barely audible, but I could still understand what she or he was saying. I know I thought it was a female voice, but guys can have a high voice too. Right?
I step closer, and closer. The voice comes from behind this huge rock. Do you know the saying 'curiosity killed the cat'? Well I looked over the stone. There was a girl. Half fish, Half human. I start to mumble: "Holy shit". She looked up, her eyes full of fear. I started running, back to my shelter. "I'm going mad. Mermaids don't exist. They're just fantasy." I reassure myself. But what I saw is real. A real life mermaid. "Please, wait!" 'It' called out. I look behind me while I run. There 'it' stood. On legs. I turn my head back forward to watch my step, but it's too late. A crashing sound, and everything turns black.
A/N: Dun Dun Dun.
