POV:Adele Russo

The letter in my mother's hands were a good news for her,A way to solve all the problems and free us all from the debt.But it was also a knife stabbing news that will tear my heart in half,and leave me nothing but heart broken.

I saw my mother smile for the first time in months as we received this news,I knew it was because of the cost of rental pay from the cottage we lived in.
But it was a home for all of us,not anywhere compared to the castle but enough to see my family everyday.

"Sweetheart.You will do this for us,Right?"My mother questioned as she held my hand in her grip staring into my green orbs in hope,I was no were as stubborn as her so if i even tried to persuade her out of sending me away,I knew it would never happen.

"Answer me.Adele?"

Watching her smile beginning to fade which hurt me.But the love awaiting to marry me had made me shake my head in a no.

"What about Daniel?Mother we love each other."I tried to make her understand but as her grip on my hand began to loosen I understood I had broken her hopes,and put me in shame in her eyes.

"D-Did you and Daniel have any sexual intercourse?"she asked making me gasp and cover my mouth with my palm as I stared at my mother in shock and in return she gave me a stern look.

"No-"The smile returned,"Then you can go to be the bride of the prince,he is in a higher status then Daniel."she spoke truthfully,Daniel was a noble which was even more worser and another negative reason to go on as a selection to the prince."But-"my words were once again cut off as she held my wrist dragging me into the room of my father who laid sick coughing.

"We can not afford to buy anymore medicine for your father,if we lose him we all will shatter and break."she spoke to me as I looked down,my heart was beating rapidly as I took a step back.

I had began to feel suffocated.The oxygen around me felt like it no longer worked,I needed to get out of this small house.I ran towards the door and ran into the forest ignoring the yells of my name,I stopped as an arm wrapped around my wrist as it dragged me back into an hard rough chest.

"Adele."The French accent made its way into my ears as my panting had stopped but my fist had not yet loosened on his waist coat.I looked up with my teary eyes and into the Blue orbs as low sob escaped,I wrapped my arms around the love of my life.

"D....Daniel."

"Shh...I've heard."he spoke combing my hair with his rough hands calming me down.
"What should I do?"I questioned in confusion as I fell on my knees with him,his arms wrapped around me.

"Lets run away?Away from all the tension,if we stay they'll send you away and I'll be arranged to be wedded."He told me as I let out a gasp and looked once again at him,

"To who will you be wedded too?"I questioned he looked away scared and hurt but I needed to know.

"Your sister has fallen in love with me,my parents want me to marry her since she's more mature and has a degree of a doctor to meet my family's standards."he told me as I pulled away shocked,it hurt to know my sister had fallen for the love of my life and I couldn't hurt her.Not once again.
