D-Day

Renjun

      Today, I decided to man up and confess . We made a program for Valentines so I was busy the whole day and I haven't seen a glimpse of Jiyun . "Chenle, have you seen Jiyun?" I asked Chenle.

"No, wait lemme announce" He grabbed a microphone and made an announcement.

"Paging Park Jiyun please proceed to Huang Re- I MEAN STUDENT COUNCIL" I scanned all the faces inside the gymnasium but she was nowhere to be seen .

I grabbed the microphone from Chenle and said " Again Park Jiyun please proceed to the student council " the loud music was echoing throughout the whole place, my announcement would not be heard at this state .

So I went down from the stage and find Jiyun in a swarm of students. Nevermind she's not here.

I searched inside the school building, floor by floor, room by room and there in the music room, a piano sound could be heard. I rushed inside the music room only to find Jiyun being all emo and alone .

I closed the door and sat beside her "Why are you here?" I said "none of your business" emotionless, she replied without averting any gaze at me . What's with Jiyun today?

"Why aren't you in the gymnasium and having fun? You know what Jiyun I was searching for you all day"

"ugh why do you even care, aren't you going to confess today?"

"wEll sadly she's not in the gymnasium and is here on the music room, sulking while playing sad songs on the pIANO"

"No one is here besid-"

with clenched fists "ILIKEYOUJIYUN"

"what?" She tilted her head out of confusion.

"I like..you"

"Y-You do?"

"Umm..Well yeah..kinda..sorta" I ended up scratching the back of my head because of the awkwardness that engulfed us.

She replied to me with a smile "Here's your present" Jiyun gave me a Moomin keychain that I was looking at the bookstore.

"Hey isn't this-"

"Yep, I kinda figured out that you like Moomin and how much you admired that keychain back there"

" oh haha anyway thanks "

One word to describe the atmosphere right now ' awkward ' and I honestly don't know how to handle these situations.

"So do you want to go home now?" I asked

"Are you kidding me Renjun? It's Valentines Day, let's go on a date!" She constantly stood up from her seat and dragged me outside the campus.

Jiyun and I were walking home after our date, ohmygod im cringing by just mentioning the word, but still it was fun.

Our shoulders are bumping onto each other while walking, so I took the chance to hold her hands. I grabbed her wrist, simply went down to her hands and intertwined it.

"rENJUN"

"sheesh haha"

After turning on the last block, we finally reached her place.

"I'm glad that I'm taller than you" I said while towering on Jiyun .

"And why, mister?"

"So that I can do this" I reached down to her forehead and place a small peck.

"I-uh.. umm" Jiyun was pale stiff but her face was flushing with crimson red .

"Happy Valentines Day Jiyun" I pinched both of her cheeks and smiled at her but still, she was stiff and speechless.
