You Are Being Held Hostage...

Part 1 (also known as the only part in the book)

Question: You are being held hostage by a self proclaimed evil genius. You are in a locked room and faced with three doors (not including the door through which you came, which is locked). The self proclaimed evil genius, standing beside you, tells you that you have three choices of which door to walk through. The first door has behind it dangerous assassins, one with a futuristic sword and shield, another with a gun filled with bullets covered in an interesting substance, the third with a newly developed bomb (all of the assassin's instruments are things you made). The second door has behind it a volcano that is about to erupt. The third door has behind it a pack of rabid wolves, alive and famished. What is your best course of action?

Answer: You clench your fists. Obviously this isn't going to be quite as easy as you would like. The self proclaimed evil genius looks over at you. You see a slight smirk on his face. You take those clenched fists of yours and punch him multiple times, right in his arrogant little face. He goes unconscious, and you quietly but quickly sneak over to the first door. You slowly open it, hiding behind the door. The assassin with the futuristic sword and shield comes running, swinging her sword and yelling like she's running into battle. You see her pause as she processes what she's seeing, which is her employer on the ground and the person she was going to kill missing. You jump on her back, your hands around her neck, and swing her around so her shield is facing the doorway, which is where anything the assassin, with a gun filled with bullets covered in an interesting substance, shoots will come from. And the assassin with a gun filled with bullets covered in an interesting substance does fire multiple shots, which all bounce off the futuristic shield and hit all three assassins. Luckily, the assassins aren't deadly injured. You aren't a murderer, and don't wish to be. The assassin with the newly developed bomb drops the newly developed bomb, and before it can hit the ground, you catch it. Then, as the assassins are all blacking out from the interesting substance (apparently a non-fatal poison), you run over to the third door. You open it slightly and throw the bomb inside. You hear the bomb explode, covering the rabid wolves in a cure for rabies that is inhaled. You drag the assassins one by one back into the first room and finally drag the self proclaimed evil genius into the room with them. You take the futuristic sword, then make sure the first and the third doors are closed firmly. You use the sword to pick the lock on the door through which you came into the room and start to sprint away from here. After all, you can't hide a volcano behind a door. So the volcano which is behind the second door is going to explode and coat everything in ash, including the room you were just in that wasn't actually connected to a building. You did what you could for the wolves, assassins, and the self proclaimed evil genius. You don't want to be around for whatever happens next. You smile a little to yourself. The self proclaimed evil genius wasn't so genius after all.
