You and Simon have been talking for about a year online and had been dating for a couple of months. You hadn't met because you had been busy with university in Manchester and Simon had a busy work schedule of meetings and making videos in London. You two skyped almost every night whilst he edited and you were revising. Tonight was the night you would meet your Simon and you had never been so terrified in all your life. He had invited you to JJ's party in London, which happened to be the day after your graduation.
You jumped out the taxi, payed the driver and ran to the building. You were wearing a simple black dress with black shiny doc martens as you had no idea what the dress code was. You pushed open the big doors and got into the lift.
'WAIT!' You heard a girl shriek. You pressed the button to keep the doors open and a beautiful, blonde girl got in. 'My boyfriend is just coming, do you mind waiting a second?' She asked politely to which you shook your head. Soon, a tall dark haired boy got in the lift and pressed the penthouse button.
'Where do you -' he began to ask as he turned to you but paused when he realised who you are.
'Josh!' you exclaimed hugging him. 'Y/N! Freya this is Y/N, Simons girlfriend.' He introduced. Freya smiled and waved.
'Simon is so excited, he hasn't stopped banging on about it!' she laughed and put her arm around you.
The rest of the lift ride was filled with talk about how well you did at university and your plans of moving down south. You held your hands to stop them shaking but it was no good, nothing could hide your nerves. Freya guided you out of the lift with her arm still around you and the three of you walked to what you assumed to be JJ's penthouse. The door was unlocked so Josh walked straight in and the sound of blaring music filled your ears.
Your eyes darted round the room as Freya, Josh and you tried to find the other Sidemen but most importantly, Simon. 'Ah ha, there he is...' Josh pointed towards a gathering of people, however, you couldn't see who was who. You pushed forward pass Josh and towards them. A tall blonde stood with his back to you. You closed your eyes and breathed in. You coughed loud enough for him to hear you and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and a beaming smile appeared on his face as he saw you. He passed his drink to Harry and picked you up, squeezing you tight.
'Y/N! I can't believe this is actually happening!' He said putting you down.
'Me neither, I've been so excited since you asked me to come!' You said holding onto his hands and looking into his bright blue eyes.
'Come with me...' He said leading you off towards the balcony. You had just enough time to wave to the other boys before you were dragged away.
The both of you got outside where it was quieter and only a few other people were there. Simon picked you up and put you on a ledge and sat next to you. You spent a while talking about your journey down and Simon's recent adventures to Germany. Everything seemed so normal. No awkwardness. No awkward pauses. Just you and your boyfriend.
'Y/N, I love you so much.' he whispered into your hair as you snuggled into his chest. At first you were taken back by his comment, but you knew he was genuine about it so you sat back up and smiled brightly at him.
'I love you too.' you said leaning towards him and taking his jaw in your hand. He closed his eyes and leaned in enough for your lips to connect. The kiss was deep and loving. Everything around seemed to become silent and everything that mattered was making this a moment to remember. Suddenly loud whoops were heard beside you and you both pulled away. The sidemen we stood nearby shouting and wolf whistling. You put your head in your hands and laughed.
'Oh, get a life you lot!' Simon shouted back, walking over to them and back into the party. You closely followed behind and linked arms with Freya. That was amazing, you thought to yourself.
