Some Other Time

One more year to go then I'm good.

My name's Schuyler Collins. Today's gonna be my first day in the university as a graduating student. I quickly glanced at the mirror to check how I look before I leave our house. I was about to enter my car when my phone rang.

----Claudius Collins----

My brother's name was flashed on the screen. Thinking that it might be urgent since it's just 6:00 am, I quickly answered the call.

"Hey, bro." Cloud, my brother, said.

Although he's two years older than me, we share the same interest almost in everything. Maybe that's why he's also interested in her...

"What is it Cloud?" I replied.

"Can you meet me later after your class? I have something incredible to tell you!"

"Uh-huh.. Can you keep that excitement of yours until 3:00 pm?"

*chuckles*

"Okay, see you at the cafe near the park."

"Okay bro." I said as I start my car's engine.

What's gotten into my brother to call early in the morning only to ask me to meet him later? He's really weird sometimes.

The bell rang, which ended our history class. I don't know why I have to study history when in fact, it doesn't have anything to do with my course.

I checked my wristwatch only to find out that it's already 3:15 pm. Good thing, the cafe's near my school. I hurriedly entered my car then made my way out.

"Over here Sky!"

The baritone voice of my brother clouded the café, which made everyone inside look at me. Ugh, I hate attention.

I'm just two steps away from his table when I noticed that he's not alone.

He's with my bestfriend. Or should I say, my ex-bestfriend?

Sitting right beside my brother is Mia. It's been ages since we last saw eachother and I don't know why she's with us right now.

I quickly took the seat right in front of her.

"So what is it Cloud?" I said.

"Woah, not so fast bro. Order something first."

"I'll order something for him." Mia said then rushed to the counter.

"Why are you with her?" I asked.

Cloud flashed his smile before replying.

"She's my girlfriend now bro, that's why."

And with that, I felt numb. I nodded twice then faked a smile.

"Congrats Cloud" "Oh, mom told me to buy her meds before going home. I should go now, she must be waiting for me."

I didn't wait for my brother's reply. I quickly took my way out and without looking back, I left the cafe.

The university's rooftop, my hideout, is where my feet have taken me. I lit a cigarette as soon as I entered the rooftop.

"Excuse me, but do you know what day it is?" A girl in her pajamas asked me. I didn't notice her existence until she asked me.
