I had a problem, my problem being that I had a crush on someone who barely knew me.
Cliché right? I'm the lowest of the low and she's the queen bee or vice versa?
Wrong!
Sure, I'm no queen bee, but Jenna McDougall definitely doesn't have some crazy fan base backing her up.
Oh yeah, that's her name. Jenna McDougall, the gorgeous Australian I've fallen in love with.
Also, Jenna isn't some transfer student who came here a week ago, oh no, she's been in this hellhole for as long as I have.
It wasn't love at first sight either!
We aren't enemies, we've just never really spoken to each other unless it was if one of us could have a pen or something.
This is definitely no cliché.
I must admit, Jenna does get bullied, a lot for that matter, however that doesn't mean she can't fight back.
"Tay. Tay. Taylor Kathleen Jardine!" cried out the voice of my friend, interrupting my thoughts of the beautiful woman I loved.
"Yes Hayley Nicole Williams?" I smiled innocently, causing her to roll her eyes at me.
"You're staring at the Aussie again."
"How did you know?" I asked, making her roll her eyes again.
"When are you not staring at her? Honestly Tay, you barely know the girl. I probably know more about her, but I hear all sorts of crazy rumours surrounding that one."
"Such as?" I inquired.
"Stupid stuff, like how one guy said she carries a knife with her everywhere because of bullies. Y'know, shit like that."
"Miss Williams!"exclaimed Mr Hoppus, an English teacher, "How dare you use language like that?"
"Oh fuck." Hayley cursed as I laughed silently at the outraged look on Mr Hoppus' face when he heard the second curse word she uttered.
"Detention. My office. Now."he hissed, but Hayley merely rolled her eyes, picking her nails carelessly.
"See ya round kid."she told me, taking one step towards Mr Hoppus before legging it in the other direction.
As the teacher tried to follow her, the large crowd of people who had cleared a path for Hayley instantly closed the gap so Mr Hoppus had no way of getting through.
You see, there were three eighteen year-olds who were essentially the big sisters of the school, giving reassurance to others, helping people skip lessons and occasionally days of school, giving music lessons, that kind of thing. That group of people were Hayley, Lzzy Hale and Taylor Momsen, the rebels who the entire school loved.
I had a deal with them: if I helped spread their reputation, they'd keep an eye on my crush.
Suddenly, my eyes met those of a fellow sixteen year-old with dazzling blue eyes surrounded by perfect eyeliner and blonde shoulder-length hair, some of which was covered by a black beanie.
Jenna.
She shot me a smile, however she had disappeared before I could say anything to her.
With an aura of happiness surrounding me, I practically skipped to my next class, where I came face to face with Jenna once again.
"Hey, you don't happen to be Tay Jardine do you?"she asked me with that adorable Australian accent of hers.
"I am. You're not normally in my Physics class." I joked, causing her to laugh.
I'm not kidding when I say it was honestly one of the most beautiful, perfect, and wonderful sounds I had ever heard.
"Well, unluckily for you, I'm your new Physics partner."
I decided to ignore the comment she made against herself as my entire face filled with a smile.
"Welcome to top-set Physics bitch. Have fun while you still can."
As we both laughed, the classroom door suddenly burst open.
"Can I help you Mr Hoppus?" drawled Mr Dirnt lazily, strumming random chords on his bass even though this wasn't a Music lesson.
"I'm looked for that wretched redhead, Mike!" the English teacher exclaimed angrily, however Mr Dirnt ignored his anger.
"Miss Williams is eighteen Mr Hoppus, not sixteen like everyone in my class is. What happened this time?"
"Swearing!"roared Mr Hoppus.
An eye roll was the first response he received.
"Mark, kindly go off and deal with that awful offense that is clearly worthy of interrupting my lesson. If you really need help find the little rebel, just look out for Miss Hale and Miss Momsen. They're always together aren't they?"stated Mr Dirnt, smiling slightly at the thought of a doofus like Mr Hoppus dealing with the rebels of the school.
As soon as the English teacher was gone, Mr Dirnt brightened up considerably.
"Right, now that old git is gone, go get a text book if you're bothered, and do whatever the hell you want if you can't be bothered to learn."
Neither Jenna nor I made a move to get a text book, so we simply sat in a comfortable silence.
Maybe my Physics lessons will be more interesting now my partner was my crush. This is my first Jardougall that I was inspired to write by DatBandMember who is an amazing fanfic writer. Go check out their story Never Thought I Would Feel Like This (Jardougall). It's a great story.
