~Outside of the hospital room

Nick: *dials Denise*

Denise: Hello Nick.

Nick: Hey Mom, you guys still in LA?

Denise: Yes, me and your father have still been here. Why?

Nick: Selena is about to give birth and I could really use my family here as well.

Denise: Oh my goodness! It's finally time! Well, we're on our way. *hangs up*

Nick: *sighs* *dials Kevin*

Kevin: Hey Nick, what's up?

Nick: I'm in the hospital with Selena.

Kevin: Is everything alright?

Nick: Yes, everything's fine. She's in labor and she's taking it really easy. It's like she plans on doing this really slowly.

Kevin: Well, that's great. Sorry me and Dani can't be there.

Nick: It's ok. I'll definitely send you guys the pictures.

Kevin: Don't make them really weird, Nick. I don't need to have my memory scarred for life.

Nick: You're seriously weird, Kev.

Kevin: Thank you. Good luck, man. I know you're going to make a great father.

Nick: Thank you, Kevin. We'll see you guys soon.

Kevin: Alright then, bye. *hangs up*

Nick: *dials Joe*

Joe: Hey Nick.

Nick: Hey Joe, are you with Demi right now?

Joe: Yea, we're on our way to the hospital. How's Selena?

Nick: *looks into the room and sees Selena, wearing the hospital gown, laying down on the hospital bed* She's doing fine. She's just resting for a bit.

Joe: Are you getting nervous?

Nick: Kind of. But that's not all what I'm feeling right now.

Joe: What's wrong?

Nick: It's something. You don't need to concern yourself with it.

Joe: Did you guys fight again?

Nick: No, we didn't fight. Just something else. Look, Joe, I don't want to discuss this with you. It's only between me and Sel.

Joe: *sighs* Nick, I know.

Nick: *worried* What are you talking about?

Joe: *pauses* I'll let you know when we get there. *hangs up*

Nick: *thinking* Oh God, this can't be happening to me. I don't need my family making this any worse for me. And I can't risk losing Selena again, she's all I have left now. Please, don't let this happen to me. *walks back in the room*

Selena: Hey babe. What's wrong?

Nick: Nothing.

Selena: Do you want to talk?

Nick: No.

Selena: You're going to have to talk about it sooner or later.

Nick: Well, I pick later. Selena, I don't want to talk about this right now and I'm not going to argue with you while you're in labor. I'm not doing that to you.

Selena: What? Adding stress? That's unlikely because I'm the one that has too much to deal with right now.

*Soon an assistant nurse and their obstetrician, Dr. Keith Morrison comes into the room*
