"Mommy!" a little girl shouts.
"My baby girl! How are you today my little criminal?" a blonde hair, tattooed woman asks.
"Good!"
"Good. How about you go see Sky?" her mom asks, handing her to a big man.
"SKY!" the little girl shouts.
"Ava!" the man shouts back, throwing her on his shoulders and hopping around.
The little girl's giggles fill the air.
"Wheeeee!" she screams, her black hair flying everywhere.
"Let me see her!" a different man shouts.
"KITTY!" Ava screams, clapping her hands together excitedly.
"Hi little monster. What are you doing?" the man asks.
"Piggy back ride!" the little girl begs, reaching her hands out and wiggling her fingers.
"How about we train eh?"
"Train?" the little girl asks, cocking her head.
"Yeah. Come on little one." he insists, leading her to a different room.
He reaches into a cabinet and pulls out a small object, then crouches in front of her.
"I have a present for you." he says, holding a box out to her.
"Yay!" she screams opening the box and pulling out two small sized boxing gloves.
"What are these?" she asks, poking them.
"Here." Kitty says, putting the gloves on her hands.
"Ohhhh. Pretty." she says, admiring the stitching.
"Come here Av." he commands and walks to a punching bag low to the ground for her reach.
Kitty grabs his own boxing gloves and slides them on.
"Watch. You go like this." he says, hooking his arm and tapping the bag, showing her how to punch.
She tries to mimic his moves and touches the bag lightly, looking at him for praise.
"Good. Now harder." he says, and punches the bag hard, making it swing from force.
Ava punches the bag, making it move slightly, then looks at Kitty.
"Like that?"
"Exactly like that." he says and smiles at her.
"Ava!"
"What mom?!" I scream back.
"We have to go for a little bit, we'll be back soon!"
"Okay, love you!"
"Love you too!" mom yells back.
I put my boxing gloves on and put my earbuds in, instantly blaring rap music.
I beat the crap out of the punching bag until I'm out of breath and grab a drink of water. Next, I walk over to the metal bar stretched across the doorway and do a few stretches before jumping up to grab it and doing twenty pull-ups.
I drop down to my feet carefully, stretch, then walk to the mat beside the punching bag and do a hundred crunches. Once I finish those I swig water and stretch some more, reaching down and touching my toes, reaching toward the ceiling and touching the floor. Suddenly curious, I pull my phone out and check the time.
They've been gone for four hours.
I shrug and walk to the stairs, running up two at a time, then run back down and repeat the process. Music still blaring, legs on fire, I stay downstairs and grab a banana off the kitchen counter. Looking through my messages, I see my best friend text me.
Mitch: u home?
I put the banana in my mouth and type a quick response.
Me: yup
When I realize a good song is on, I get up and dance around, feet moving quickly and jumping up and down. I feel my phone vibrate and look at it.
Mitch: Can I come over?
Me: sure
I run upstairs and shove all my clothes in my closet and change out of my sweaty clothes, putting on a different sports bra and sweatpants. Next, I pull my hair up into a new ponytail and go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I feel my phone vibrate again.
Mitch: I'm here
I rip my earbuds out of my ears and throw my phone on my bed, turn the stereo on at a decent volume, run downstairs and fling the door open without even looking before I turn around and skip into the family room.
"What are we gonna play today?" Mitch asks.
"Well... I just got some new ones. Honestly, I want to kick it old school. Let's play some Call Of Duty AW." I state proudly.
Mitch shrugs and changes the game in the PS4 and walks back over with two controllers, handing one to me.
I take first player and click TDM before throwing the controller to the side, running upstairs and turning the stereo up.
"MATCH IS STARTING!" he screams and I whimper and rush downstairs.
Laughing, Mitch hands me my controller and I choose my loadout before figuring out the level is Terrace, my favorite one.
I immediately start toward the other side and start shooting people.
"Triple kill bitch!" I scream.
Mitch laughs and dies.
"Wow. I totally killed that guy!"
"Apparently you didn't." I state sarcastically and get a slap on the back of the head.
I hide in a corner and watch as a guy runs past me. Reacting quickly, I chase him and rabbit punch him from behind, only to be shot in the back.
"Damn." I say sadly.
"Was that your first time dying?" Mitch asks.
"Yes." I pout.
"Oh boo hoo you have what? Fourty kills?"
"Thirty five. I'm good but not that good." I laugh.
Suddenly it says we won and I high five Mitch.
"Good game friend." he says and smiles.
