I didn't really plan on pulishing this, it was just a school assignment, but why not? I hope you enjoy it!

He looked inside the window. He could see that Eric was getting ready to go out. When he thought it was time, he opened the window, and ran to Eric. Before Eric had time to react, he shut his mouth with one hand and pushed Eric down on the bed with the other. He laid himself upon Eric so he couldn’t go nowhere. Then he found a bottle of cyanide and pressed it to his mouth. Eric tried to resist swallowing, but he held it hard against his mouth and it was no way he could manage not to. He got off him and waited until he was sure Eric was dead, and then he left.

Detective Edward Woodfield was just about to go to sleep after a long day investigating a robbery, when his phone rang. The screen said “Amy M. Turell” and a picture of his seventeen years old assistant came up. She always helped him with investigating. Despite her young age, she was extraordinarily good as a detective. She was also his office woman, who answered all the calls to decide whether they should take the case or not. He picked the phone up.

“A man, Mr. Adler, just called me. He wants our help with a really interesting case!” Amy almost screamed on the other side of the phone.

“Okay, tell me more”

There had not been any interesting incidents for about three months and they were both starting to get bored. The last good one was a girl, who disappeared in the forest. It turned out, her parents had kidnapped her and she was locked inside a room in the basement for four weeks. Edward loved the exciting cases. It didn’t really bother him if loads of people were dying or being hurt. The juicer, the better.

“His son, I think he was called Eric, was found dead in his bed this morning.”

“Yeah? Go on.” Edward said.

“But with no signs that he was killed. The police said that it was a suicide, he swallowed pills, but Mr. and Mrs. Adler do not believe it. The only pills they have I their house are C-vitamins and painkillers, and both of the boxes were still full.” Amy said with excitement in her voice. “But he still could have bought pills and hided the jar somewhere else.” Edward said. He wasn’t sure if this was a good case yet.

“Yes, but Mr. Adler said that he had always been a very open person, if he had problems he would tell them right away. He also had loads of friends and he enjoyed school. Mr. Adler said that they hadn’t seen Eric that happy in ages! And just two hours before they found him he told them he was going to his friend.”

“All right. This do sound interesting. When did you tell him that we’ll come?” Edward asked.

“In an hour. Which was twenty minutes ago, so I guess you should come and pick me up now.” Amy said.

“It’s freaking 3:45 AM, Amy!” Edward said annoyed. He had done nothing but investigating since 6 AM and could use a good night sleep right now.

“I got Red Bull in the freezer, I’ll get you one.”

Fifteen minutes later Edward arrived at Amy’s house. She lived in a small house with her mother, just outside of London city. The house was blue and had a small garden behind it. Her mother always supported her wanting to be a detective. Most mothers would be terrified having their daughter investigating murders, but not Amy’s.

At 4:03AM Amy walked out of her house and into Edward’s. She was wearing a black hoodie, a pair of jeans, and her red hair was tied in a bun on the top of her head.

“70 Earlham Grove.” She said.

They walked up to the front door and pressed the doorbell.

“Remember, their son just died. So be careful with what you say, okay?” Amy said.
