New Dawn
"Her hair at night
It shone so bright.
Her smile was warm
It calmed my stormMy love was endless
Her love, a tenderness.
My life was old
Yet she broke the mold. Then she was born
Proud smiles were worn.
Perfect like her mother
Stubborn like her father.I would not let her grow
I couldn't let her go.
I wept for her
As she grew into a toddler.Age chased her
I chased age.
She had to say goodbye
When I was put in my eternal cage. Now I watch from up above
Next to birds and a white dove.
I may be gone
But there is always a new dawn."

PoetryThis is a poem about a man and his life. First he speaks of his true love, but then talks of his daughter. It is meant to pull your heart into the words, as if it is your child in the poem.
