Chapter 2: The Firelord's Brother

Hey guys! Sorry for not posting any sooner. I had a lot of homework these days and a project that's due in a few days time. This is chapter two of my story. ENJOY!~~~

Pearls' Pov~~~~

I  woke up to the smell of urine and loud shouts and screams. It was dark. Although red lights flickered in the room. At least i think was a room. I try to sit up straight but i can't. My hands, they're so numb. And...i've been chained to the wall. I tried to pull as hard as i am, hoping that i can free myself. But it just wont budge. 

"Please, please let me go!!!" a weak weeping can be heard. "No! No please, come back. Free me!! Please!!!"

A shadow loomed over my cell. A tall dark shadow. With fancy dark-red robes and....and...that was the boy i encountered before! There were two more shadows. Guards, of course. 

"You know, there really is no struggling against our pure iron chains. Sometimes it tightens itself against you." he said with a wince. 

"I don't need your stupid advice." I shouted as i spit to his feet. The same skull-like-faceplate guards inched over, but the boy waved them away.

"No, leave. I want a word with her." he made another waving gesture as he waited for them to be out of sight. "I know i'm not suppose to do this but," he gripped something from his back and took it out. For a moment i thought it was a knife and he was going to kill me. Although, it looks nothing like it. Not even close.

He pulled out something like a wooden basket. " i thought you might be a bit hungry after...you know." He said with a wide smile. 

i stared at him. I know exactly where he's going here. "Why would i ever want to eat food given from an enemy! Do you really think that i'm that stupid?! I know you must have put something toxic or  poisonous in it!" i shout as loud as  i can. I can see his smile fading from his face replaced by doubtfulness.

"What?! No, no. You've got this all wrong. I'm not trying to hurt you in anyway." He pulled out a key from his pocket and unlocked my cell. He slowly sat beside me. and lifted the cover to the basket. A sweeping sensation floated over me. Mhmm...roast beef, shrimp, fish, all kinds of delights. My stomach growls and i just realized how hungry i was. 

"Aren't you hungry?"i nodded my head. "Then eat up. Its nothing dangerous." He took a small chicken bit, threw it in the air and catched it in his mouth. He gave then gave me a wide grin. It was just then when i looked at him straight in the eye. I was expecting cold, stormy dark eyes, filled with hatred and evil. But it seems to be the complete opposite. It was full of kindness, yet it had something to it that i felt sorry for. 

"Who are you anyway?" i said in a low whisper.

"Me? Me." his voice dropped. " You're asking who i am? Nobody ever asks me that question. For i am hidden to the world. But i am, i am....Aiden. I am the Firelord's brother." He looked away and i can tell right then and there that he had lacked happiness in his life. It was just then that i noticed a deep red ring around his wrist. As if someone had burnt them to his flesh. But before i can ask him about it, we heard loud shouts and screams. Aiden came back on focus and hastily got up. He looked frighten. "I gotta go. We'll have to hide the food." He traced his finger on the brick wall and stopped at the sixth brick. He gently lifted up the brick and placed the basket inside and placed the brick back again. He turned to face me, "until next time ." and walked to the open and relocked the cell. He gave me a sorrowful look and hurried away. Well, that was awkward. 

But, what did he want with me anyway? I am their prisoner. I am their prisoner. No. No, i can't stay like this. I have to find a way to get out of here. But how? Plan A had already backfired(a little faster than i thought it would), i need a new plan. It was getting dark, i'll just have to think about it tomorrow, i thought. And i was fast asleep.
