Ode to Sleep ... Sean's POV

Hospital- Paris, France- 5.08pm

Sean's Pov-

I wake up to be greeted by a blinding light, that curses my eyes for a bit. My eyes adjust at a painstaking pace, inch by inch I gain sight as I look around the room I see the children...

The children are a bloody mess with cuts and bruises all over their small bodies. And  support breathing tubes on their small and fragile faces with their small doe shaped eyes are closed. I feel a warm streak of water fall down my face, as I come to wipe the tear from my face as I realized... " What have I've done." I whispered.
As I did so I hear a soft knock come to the door as I see a nurse carting in what it looked to be lunch or dinner.
"Hello Sweetheart, are you hungry?" The nurse said to me
"Yes I am... Hey wait a second here... M..Mark?!" I said confusedly
"Shhhhhh." He said placing his index finger to my lip
"I'm going to get you out of here, along with the kids." He said with a weak smile.
"Now eat my darling." Mark said
"Ok." I replied 
The "nurse" place my food on the table and turned to the kids as they were still asleep. I turn to my food as I see milk, a apple and one heart-shaped sandwich I smile at the thought and dig into my food.When Mark leaves to take the cart out of the room, the kids slowly start to wake up and look around the room. I hear a soft tap come to the door as the doctor walks into the room with her  clipboard.
"Hello Mr.McLoughlin I see your up and eating well." She said
"Yes mam I am." I reply politely
" I'm just going to check everyone's vitals and I'll be on my way." She said with a smile. A pit rapidly formed in my stomach as I see her stride over to Mark's bed and goes to check his vitals. She slowly raises the sheets and goes to her waist and grabs what looks to be a walkie - talkie.
"Station 25 I have a runner 10-4." She said into her walkie- talkie
"Dr. Pansino we'll put a call out 10-4" the responder said
"Thank you Station 25 10-4" she said and put her walkie-talkie back on her hip and looked to the door. She turned back and said " I'll be back soon, but first I'll check you." And she continued with the checking me  and left the room.
"Mark... please hurry". I said quietly then I hear running footsteps come down the hall. And I see Mark come into the room with his "dress" on  and quickly jump into the bed, pull the sheets over himself and puts the vitals back into their places on his hand and looks over to me and smiles. As he sits their as if waiting for something to happen, and then  something goes off...
