First day of grade 9! Is the first thing that pops in Allie's head, the second she wakes up.
BEEP! BEEP! The loud sound of my alarm wakes me up instantly. Then the thought pops in my head "First day of grade 9". I rush out of bed, quickly throw on some clothes and grab my school bag. Then run down the stairs, and into the kitchen. To see my mother (Megan) and my 12 year old sister Alexa, sitting at the table eating breakfast.
" Have some breakfast Allie, it's the most important meal of the day !" Allie's mum says in a calm voice
" Alright mum"
Her mother smiles at her.
Allie puts some bread in the toaster. Then her mother says:
"Excited for the first day of High school?"
"Sort -".
Then the loud pop sound of toaster cuts me off. I grab the bread, and put butter on it. Then I ask Alexa:
" Why are you being so quiet? "
Alexa yawns while saying " I'm tired, couldn't fall asleep last night."
"I see, nervous for the first day back"
"Yep"
As I finish the last of my toast, my mother says,
" I better get you girls to school."
"Okay" Allie and Alexa say at the same time.
I put on my favorite pair of sneakers, and walk out to the car. I wait about a minute, for my mum and sister. We dropped Alexa off first. While Alexa is about to shut the car door, my mother says
" Have a good day Hun! "
" I will mum, bye"
Then she shuts the car door, and we drive away. As the car approaches the High School. I see a sign that reads " All grade nine students, report to the gymnasium". The car stops in front of the school. While I'm about to get out of the car , my mum says,
" Have a good day! "
" Okay mum, bye"
" Bye"
I slam the the door shut, and run up the school doors, to see a teacher, that says,
" All grade nine students go to the gym".
I head inside the building, and navigate my way to the gym. As I walk int there is a huge bleacher, with a crap load of people on it. I see some people I know, and some I don't. I climb up the bleacher and I find my self empty spot, and I sit down.
