What was she going to do? She leaned back in the the over stuffed chair she was sitting in, in the middle of the gryffindor common room. Things had gone from bad to worse in her mind, but her heart was telling her things were going just the way they were suppose to. She threw a piece of paper in the the fire. It burst into a purple flame. She wished with all her might there was a spell that told her how to deal with this or what to do. She frowned as she came the biggest realization in her life. She was in love. She was in love with the worse possible person in the world. She swallowed as she realized she was in love with Severus Snape and that he would never love her back. She was a black after all.

"Aria" Harry interrupted her thoughts. She looked up at him startled as he broke her from her thoughts. "Can we talk about what you told me the other day"

"About what?" Aria asked innocently, she really wasn't sure what he was talking about. "which day?"

"When you were telling me about who you were in love with" Harry sighed softly watching her face. She frowned. "I need to know who it is. We are worried about you and we're afraid you might get hurt if its a Slytherin or someone related to the slytherin house."

"What are you talking about?" Aria glanced between her three friends. Hermione, Ron and Harry both looked at her with worried, yet suspicious looks on their faces. She did admit to herself she had been acting different lately, more snappy, less herself and more argumentative. She was  an argumentative person by nature, but she had been really bad lately.

"We would like to know if its Professor Snape" Hermione spoke softly. Aria looked between all of them to see if they all had the same thought. They nodded.

"How could you even think that?" Aria stood up, her voice rising as she looked at her three friends, she was basically shooting daggers at them. People, who were in the common room, had stopped what they were doing to look at what was going on. Aria could get angry, but she never really shouted, except at one person.  "I DON'T NOT AND WILL NEVER LOVE HIM. HE HATES ME, IN FACT HE PROBABLY HATES ME MORE THEN I HATE HIM. THAT IS BY THE FAR THE WORSE THING YOU HAVE EVER SAID TO ME" Aria could feel tears in her eyes, Harry would see them as tears of anger, but she was crying out of being sad that was lying to them and to herself. She spoke quieter next, barely a whisper. "And even if I did, that wouldn't be any of your business"

With that she stalked out of the room, slamming the portrait of the fat lady behind her. The fat lady protested and yelled at her, but Aria ignored her and made her way down to the grounds. It was after hours she more then likely she was going to get in trouble, but she needed to be alone. She would be in the headmaster's office in the morning, meanwhile she needed to sort out her thoughts before they got her into trouble. She ran with her head down in the pouring rain with tears falling down her face, not paying attention as she ran head long into something and fell to the ground. She normally would have gotten back up and yelled at the person, but she didn't feel like it today, she was upset at Harry and frustrated with herself.

"Are you alright?" She heard the familiar deep voice of Professor Snape. She hated that when she didn't want to see him, he was the first person to be around. She took his outstretched hand and he pulled her to her feet. She didn't respond right away. "Miss. Black"

"I have a name" She whispered as she pulled her hand away from his rather angrily.

"What was that?" He asked with sneer, he was pretty sure she wouldn't repeat herself, but he was wrong.

"I have a first name." Aria's voice was a bit louder and he could hear the anger in it. She was obviously angry about something, but he had just made it worse. "I have a first name, its Aria, Professor Aria Athena Black and if you don't like it, then screw you. I am tired of the way you treat me, if you want to be mean to me like you, i'd rather you find a different reason to do it then simply because you hated my father."

"Your father was the worse kind of person, along with Potter" Professor Snape glared at her. "They were horrible to me, and you remind me of him every day."

    "Because I look like him?"

"Because you have his attitude" Professor Snape snapped at her. She glared at him.

"I may have his attitude and his looks, but I am not him, I am not my father and I would greatly appreciate if you stopped treating my like I was him." Aria looked up him with a look he'd never seen. She looked like she was going to cry again as the rain poured down on her already wet body.

    "What is wrong with you?"

"What is wrong with me? What is wrong... " Aria's voice rose, it was still quiet as the rain pounded against the castle and the grounds around them. "I'LL TELL YOU WHAT'S WRONG. HARRY SEEMS TO THINK I'M IN LOVE YOU AND HE HAS THIS WEIRD NOTION THAT YOU MIGHT LOVE ME. I DON'T KNOW WHERE HE GOT THAT BUT...."

"Is he wrong?" Professor Snape interrupted her. He looked completely serious, otherwise she might have burst out laughing. "Do you love me?"

"Even if I do" She emphasized the word if. "I would not tell you because I know that it would be against everything you are and everything you believe in"

    "How do you know?"

"I watch, I observe. It's what i do" She spoke quietly, he barely heard her above the rain. "I know more you then you might think, Professor."

"Aria" He said her name softly as he reached to grab her wrist. She pulled it back quickly and despite the tears she smiled softly.

"Goodnight, Professor" With that she disappeared into the castle.
