TAEYEON'S POV

  After the small reunion a.k.a Lu Han's proposal to Jihwa, we all separated ways. The guys insisted on taking me home but i told them i have to buy something urgent.

  But of course, that's just a lie.

I just wanted to be alone.

  When i got inside our house, Baekhyun was sitting on the doorway, probably tired waiting for me. I assume my parents are asleep already since it's 9:30 pm already.

  "Yah kid, what are you doing here?" i asked. Baekhyun lifted his head and squinted his eyes.

   "Noona? you're there?" he asked. Aigoo this puppy.

  I rolled my eyes. "What do you want?" i asked, already feeling the pain inside.

  Baekhyun stood up and looked at me seriously. But, he was biting his lower lip. I could feel his nervousness. "Noona i..i'm so sorry but i...i have to---"

  "I already know." i cut him off. Aish this guy. He won't ever be able to give me a clear and non-stuttering break up huh?

  "What?" he asked wide-eyed, surprised.

  "I can sense that you love Jihwa and what you are up to now.." i told him in quite a hard tone. He looked tremendously afraid and guilty at the same time, and my gaze softened as well as my tone. "You know, i've been into a relationship that's why i know about this. Normally, this sunbae only wanted older men because they are mature enough to handle things. But here i am, taking care of a childish guy." i chuckled for a bit but Baekhyun just continued to stare at me with a guilty vibe. "The question is why? The answer is..love. Because you loved me like there's no tomorrow, that's why i willingly took care of you and yoir childish personality. And i know what you're trying to do." I breathed deeply, my eyes feeling hotter in seconds.

  "Noona, i...." Baekhyun was cut off again when i placed a hand infront of his face, gesturing him to stop.

  "Can you...let noona do it this time?" i asked, my voice getting weaker. "On my last relationship, i was the one being broken up. He did it, while i stood there like a fool. And i think it's unfair that on my second one, i'm being broken up again. I wanted to do it this time. Can't you guys be fair for me?"

  Baekhyun's face cracked a broken smile, and i did the same,  as tears continuously fall on my cheeks. "Alright. Take revenge on me and him then."

  I nodded and finally said it. "Baekhyunah, let's break up."

  1 YEAR LATER

    "That's it? A year and you're already whining about your unrequited love?" Taeyeon put down the newspaper she's reading and faced the brunet whose hair was now grayish, making him look too young for his age.

  "That's not what i meant." Baekhyun frowned as he gulped down the cup of coffee. "ugh. How do i say this? so disgusting..."

  "Then don't say it! My God Byun Baekhyun you're still acting like a child!" Taeyeon raised both of her hands in defeat.

  "Yah! I'm not a child!" Baekhyun answered back. "Fine! Then i'll tell you right now! I thought i would go crazy missing Jihwa and realizing how much of a fool i was, but since the day you broke up with me, i can't sleep. I don't feel safe, i don't feel okay, and i don't even feel like living anymore. And it's all because of you." he told her. Taeyeon was taken aback, so she just raised a brow at him.

  "What are you trying to say?" she asked, eyes narrowing at him.

    "I'm trying to say "i miss you" in an elaborated form." Baekhyun smiled sheepishly.

  "You're not being serious again, Baek." Taeyeon crossed her arms and stared in disbelief at the man.

  "But this is Byun Baekhyun's nature!" Baekhyun jokingly defended. "No but seriously. It's not simply missing noona. I want my ex-girlfriend back." he said with determination in his eyes. "Even if it takes a lot of risks to do."

  Taeyeon smiled. She had successfully guided him to be mature, because aside from love, she cares and concerns for Baekhyun's self-improvement. Taeyeon is a type of person who would contribute to make a person better even if she has to leave them.

  "Don't just smile! Say it!" Baekhyun slightly demanded, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

   "It's been a year and you've already changed, Baek." Taeyeon chuckled. "You're demanding. I think that's bad."

  "Yah!! I was just confused okay?!" Baekhyun whined like a kid, and Taeyeon fought the urge to pinchhis cheeks hard.

  "Are you sure you love me or just because i'm so caring like a mom and you like me?" Taeyeon asked him, testing more of his sincerity.

  Baekhyun sighed. "Jihwa just slapped me in the face on our first meet after a year, though."

  Taeyeon chuckled but she's surprised. "Really?! Why?"

   "She said i kept telling her how much i miss her and how i still like him so much but i don't focus on my words. Then when she mentioned your name, she said she saw the saddest eyes on planet Earth on me." Baekhyun explained. "That cocky mind reader."

   "She studies psychology, you know." Taeyeon laughed and ignored the immense glare Baekhyun has been giving her.

  "When she slapped me, i don't know what happened to my brain but all of a sudden i can just think of wanting you back...hehe" Baekhyun scratched the back of his neck. Taeyeon forced a smile instead of laughing, because 28--year-old Byun Baekhyun looks so adorable like the younger years.

  "That's a childish imagination." she said. She can't stop laughing inwardly when Baekhyun gave out a cute pout.

   "Fine. If you think i'm playing with you, then nevermind. I'm fine with it as long as you don't hate me." he said.

    "Should i slap you again?" Taeyeon raised a brow at him. "Do you really not know?"

  Baekhyun was deeply frustrated. "What do i know?! All i know is that i want you back."

  Taeyeon leaned forward and propped her elbows on the table, responding to Baekhyun's staring contest. "And do you know what you don't know? That i also want you back, idiot."

   Baekhyun was frozen on his seat, the known endless talker was speechless for the first time.

He smiled though, remembering the quote he'd been holding on for a year, hoping it will create magic in his life and make his Taeyeon noona bring her love back.

And he believed it. That time heals.
