Umasked
Hidden deep,
deep behind your shell.
Fake, covered, and masked.
Your laugh, your hair, your outer beauty.
Plastic.
A mask from a masquerade ball.
Elegant.
They must discover what's hidden behind the mask.
They say they know.
But do they really?
Have they ever removed the mask to reveal the beast inside?

*Author's note
I wrote this poem which came flooding from my brain the other day. I have never written poems outside of school on my own terms with my own. This just came from some traumatic things that I have recently been through. I hope I can continue writing poems based on my life problems.
This poem is about a "popular girl in my grade who is so "pretty" all the boys like her and she giggles and hair long blonde hair that she straightens everyday and she is very good at scoccer but cheats.. She fools most people that she is pretty and perfect but she is not. She is so fake and on the inside is a beast. She hates my guts and I have no idea why. She takes any chance to spill something on me or shove me without anyone knowing. She is an attention seeker. Well here is my life.
