Chapter 8

(Rachel's POV)

I walk into the room with a huge smile on my face. I probably look like a dork by the way I'm smiling but i coulsn't help it. I mean Niall asked me to be his girlfriend.

I walk in and Louis immediately stands up. I wonder whats up with him

" Hey Rachel, can i talk to you for a minute...." he said trailing off

" Yeah, whats up!" i said

He got up and walked to the door . Then he opened it and gestured me to go outside so i walked outside the door and then he followed me.

"Whats up?" I ask

" I just talked to the doctor before you walked in and Kelsey is going to know who everyone is in about 3 hours" he said with a smile on his face that was so big it could reach the sun and there was no hiding it.

I try to hold in my scream but it doesn't work so I cover my mouth. Louis laughs at my expression but still keeping the smile on his face.

" OH MY GOD!!!!! THAT'S GREAT LOUIS!!!!" I basically yell so the whole hospital can hear

" SHHHH!!!!! There are other people here too you know?!!?!?!?" He whisper-yelled back at me

" Sorry!" i whisper-yell back

He opened the door again allowing me to go inside. He closed the door behind him and we walked forward to the seats placed in Kelsey's room. We were about to sit down when the door opened but it was just Niall. I looked at Louis hoping he knew what I was going to ask him. He understood and nodded letting me know it was ok to tell Niall. Niall looked worried and confused as I looked back at him.

" Niall can i speak to you in the hall." i ask him

" Yeah...." he said nervously with worry in his eyes.

He opened the door. Let me walk out and then he walked out after me. After closing the door, he turned to me still looking worried.

" Niall, Kelsey's going to know who we are in about 3 hours!" I said

The worry in his eyes was gone and a smile grew wide across his face.

" Rachel that's great!!" he said. Then he picked me up and spun me around in a hug. Then he planted a light kiss on my lips. We stared into each others eyes and had a little bit of silence until i broke it.

"We should go back inside." i said as he nodded his head. Then we walked back in Kelsey's room hand in hand without a care in the world.

He opened the door and walked in with me following. We walked forward to the seats and then Niall sat down. He let go of my hand gesturing me to sit on his lap So i did. Then all i could do was look at Kelsey.

(Nialls POV)

Rachel sat on my lap and then i looked at Louis.

" Is she your girlfriend?!?!?!?!?!?!" he mouthed

i couldn't help but smile and say yes. Then Louis smirked at me causing me to laugh a little but no one noticed.

I look at Rachel, who is currently staring at Kelsey hoping that Kelsey will know who she is, she has sadness in her eyes and needs a spark of happiness at this point. I knew just what to do but i will need some help so i went to only person who can help me right now. The only person who knows about me and Rachel right now. Louis.

" LOUIS!!!!" I whisper-yell

" WHAT!!!!" He whisper-yells back at me

" Can I talk to you in the hall way...." I said in a lower voice

" Yeah sure!" He said in his usually pip voice

I asked Rachel to excuse us and she understood so we got up and walked out of the room. First Louis. Then me. We got into the hall way after quietly shutting the door.

" What do you need?" He said

" I want to give Rachel a surprise and need you to keep her here as I go figure out what to do.... Can you do that for me? " I say

" Yeah sure, just say bye to her first cause girls hate it when you leave without a goodbye." He said

" Ok.... you can't tell her ok?" I say

" Got it!" He says really excitedly

I turn around and open the door and we walk in. I didn't know what to say so I just kept walking forward towards Rachel but then her eyes meet mine and then I get lost. Louis nudges me to say something.

" I'm going to get something to eat for everyone so I'll be gone for a bit! Stay with Louis ok?" I say

" Ok" she says willingly so I go grab my coat and walk back over to Rachel. I kiss her lightly on the cheek and hurry out the door.

(Louis POV)

Niall leaves and I dont know what to do. The only thing i know about Rachel is that she knows Kelsey. Kelsey is a topic but it might be an uneasy topic for her. I might want to start with something simple. I continue to fight with my self mentally but then Rachel said something. I couldnt quiet make out what she said.

" I'm sorry, i didnt hear what you said" i told her

" Whats your favorite color?" she asks me

"Red! What about you?" i say happily

"Blue" she replied in a happy tone

Before we knew it we were talking for 2 hours. Then another hour went as we talked about music half of the time .

Then the next thing we knew, Kelseys eyes closed. After a couple seconds, her eyes opened again as Rachel, the doctor, a nurse, and i gather around her.
