Akaashi Keiji, please come to the front office please. I repeat Akaashi Keiji, please come to the front office. Thanks.

That was never a good sign. I pulled myself up from my cosy corner in the library and shut the book I was reading.
What could be so important they had to call me to the office during lunch.

"WHAT!? No, no, no. This must be some kind of mistake. Akaashi Keiji, me, a perfect student would never do such things."
"We have witnesses to say otherwise." the principal replied.
I was devastated. I was apparently caught on school grounds last night, spray painting vile words onto a wall.
I mean I did stay back in the library to study for my upcoming test, but I would never do such a thing!
"Who are these witnesses?" I asked frantically.
"Hey hey hey!"
"Yo."

Oh. Oh no. I could recognise those voices from a mile away. Bokuto god damn Kotaro. The school's most popular boy and his best friend, Kuroo Tetsuro.

"You've got to be kidding me. You actually believe these two!?" I practically screamed, I could hear them giggle.
"Well they have photo evidence." Our principal said.
"Show me."
He pulled out a folder with several really well photoshopped pictures of me spray painting on the wall. I groaned in frustration.
"You actually think this is me?"
"I have no reason to believe otherwise."

"Fine! What will it take for me to get this off my record." I groaned.
"Simple. Mr Kotaro over there has been struggling with his grades. You are going to be his personal tutor, everyday after school for two hours starting tonight."

"What!?" We both screamed.
"No way man! I have sport commitments and a party to go to!"
"I have to study for my upcoming test!" we both tried to argue. But the principal spoke and once he decided on something, it was hard to sway him.
We both groaned in defeat. Kuroo laughing hysterically outside.
"Fine. Meet me at the library at 4pm sharp. That's more than enough time to get your books and you act together. If you aren't there I'll make sure you won't wake up tomorrow."
"Fine. Fine.." he muttered.

God help me.

So here I am. Sitting in the library, waiting for Bokuto to show up. It's currently 4:10. If he doesn't get his ass here in less than 5 minutes I will end his reputation.

2 minutes remaining. Great. I knew he would bail. I packed up and stood up and before I could take a step I could hear him already getting shushed by the 4 librarians. I couldn't help but to giggle.

"Hey hey hey! Sorry I was late, I didn't really want to show up." he bluntly explained. I rolled my eyes. "I honestly thought you were going to bail on me and if you did, I wouldn't have let your reputation go without tarnishing it."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Bokuto asked. I shook my head, "Nothing, don't worry. Its just an empty threat."
Or so I wanted him to believe that.

"So tell me, what do you need help with?" I asked.
"Nothing." he instantly replied. I lightly slapped his hand away from his notebook.
I was shocked.
Never had I seen something so... Messy. He literally didn't have anything written, just scribbles of dicks, ugly drawings of teachers and... Okay that one looks a little questioning but I'm going to pretend I didn't see it.

"So clearly you need a lot of help."
"I don't!" he replied more forcefully.
"Okay, well you need some guidance at least. I'll help you with that." I softly replied. I think Bokuto is self conscious about his work. Adorable.
"Okay so what upcoming assignments do you have?"
"...I have a science test coming up, it's on speed."
"Alright so what don't you understand?"
"Everything." he responded.
"Alright lets start from the verg and beginning shall we?"
He nodded.

After managing to teach him about Newton's three laws of physics and a few speed formulas, we decided to take a small break.
"Wow. Akaashi, not going to lie, I thought this was going to be...not as good as this. I thought you were going to judge me and come off really...bitchy." Bokuto confessed, I laughed, a little too much because I ended up snorting. I hated my laugh.

I quickly stopped and cleared my throat. "Well initially I was going to be a dick about it but you're honestly not too bad yourself. You try to work with me and not against me...Bokuto why are you staring at me like that?"
"Your laugh..."
I groaned, "Yeah, yeah, its out of character, its strange yada yada."
"No. Its...adorable." he responded. I was slightly confused and very shocked. Nobody has ever really complimented my laugh.
I blushed.
"Alright lets get back to work." I quickly changed the subject.
"Alright."

6pm had come around. It was time to wrap it up. We were walking out of the school gates. Bokuto rummaged through his bag and pulled out a melon bun. "You don't have anything to eat?" he asked. I shook my head.
"I usually catch the train back and cook myself a meal."
"Which way?"
"Up north. My stop is rather far away."
"It's the tenth stop when you get on right?" He asked, I frowned, "Have you been stalking me?"
He laughed, "You're funny. And nah, I don't, it just happened that you get off at the same stop as me."
I started walking a little bit faster and turned around to Bokuto.
"You coming? We're gonna miss the train if you keep slowing me down."
"Oh is a race what you want?" he smirked, he started jogging lightly in front of me.
"C'mon Akaashi, keep up." he teased.
I shook my head and smiled.

We both arrived at the train station, panting. We ended up both sprinting to see who got here first. Naturally it was Bokuto, the athletic one of the two of us. "You're not too shabby yourself Akaashi."
I was dying. Never had I run so far and so fast, my legs felt like jelly.
"Bo k u to.. Th e t r ain." I panted, he turned around to see the train about to leave the platform, the last few people were getting on and I didn't want to wait for another half hour for the next.
Bokuto thought the same thing. He picked me up onto his back in a piggy back style and sprinted towards the train.
"Akaashi if we miss this train I swear I will kill you." he growled, I laughed.

We barely made it on to the crowded train, Bokuto let me down and we both held onto one of the dangling handles.
The train was loud but soft enough so you could hear the person next to you.
"Akaashi, do you like any sports?" Bokuto asked, "Volleyball. Although I'm not overly obsessed with it." I replied.
"Seriously? I love Volleyball! You should come join me for some practice after school one day."
"Tutoring." I reminded him, he sighed, "That's right..." he sighed.
"I guess we can make an exception for one day."
"Two."
"Sorry?"
"Two days, practice on Thursday and game on Friday." he replied, "Fine. But if this gets us into trouble-"
"Dude it's fine. I live by the motto 'If you don't see trouble, trouble will seek you.' and trust me, it works." he grinned.
"Like it worked for the previous, how many times? Fifty?"
Bokuto went silent.
"Relax Bokuto. I was joking."

Several stops had passed and if anything, more people got on, no surprise since it's rush hour, but still it was more than usual.
It was one more stop before our's so we pushed our way to the door.
Unfortunately Bokuto wasn't gentle enough and someone pushed him back, knocking him onto me. Face to face. Trapped against the door. My body was practically touching his and his eyes averted away from staring into mine. We both blushed.
"S-sorry Akaashi."
"It's not your fault.."

We spent the next two minutes like this before the door started opening. We were finally free. The cool night breeze hit my face. "Alright Akaashi, I'll catch you tomorrow after school!" Bokuto called out, he headed in the opposite direction, "Unless you want me to walk you home." he teased. I shook my head, "I'm fine on my own thanks."

So here I am, 8pm. Lying on my bed, beating myself up because I had the worst realisation.
I think...

I think I like him!
