~Clayden~
I was angry.
Beyond angry, I was furious.
He took it too far this time.
I agree that I made a video of him when I pulled the chili powder prank, but I never uploaded that video.
And he did the very opposite.
It was already embarrassing to supposedly 'fart' in front of a class full of people, on the top of that the video was uploaded to a social media site.
I didn't care about what people thought of me, my only worry was my self-esteem.
The only thing that affected me was losing it.
I couldn't, I can't and I won't lose.
My head was flooding with these thoughts.
I had to detox.
And I knew the best place that would help me do that.
The Mystery Clearing.
It was a little field that the Clayden's owned. I gave it the name, The Mystery Clearing because it is surrounded by dense trees which hide the inner clearing, giving a mysterious effect to the place.
It's a private property so no one except for me or my parents can enter the place.
It is located on the ends of Lake Erie.
I parked my BMW Q5, in the parking lot of the boathouse, grabbed a book from the dash board and headed towards the clearing.
I loved the feel of trees all around me, it felt as if they hid my deepest secrets. This was the place where I could be me, the place where there was no rich, no poor.
Peace. Warmth. Greenery. Silence.
That's what my Mystery Clearing held.
No one has ever come here, except for my grandparents, who bought it.
Before they died, they mentioned in their will that until I am eighteen this property belongs to my father and after that, it was to be passed on to me.
My parents never bothered to be home so coming to this clearing wasn't even an option for them.
This place was mine, not officially yet, but it would be soon.
I hopped to my favorite place and finally sat down in the little cubicle in the bark of the huge banyan tree.
The sun lit the clearing and it looked beautiful.
I opened the book and started reading it.
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
Undoubtedly, the book held a lot for its readers.
Reading, for me, takes you to another world, where the usual worries don't matter, where nobody judges you for what you are.
