The warm sunbeam lights the book a little boy in the age of thirteen is reading. He is quite advanced for his age, he can now perform complicated mathematics and is quite accustomed in the use of computers and knows a lot in the field of science. Every weekend he hangs out in their spacious garden to escape the haunting silence and lonely days inside his house. He has no friends or close relations in their village and he could be often seen alone. He reads the complicated book with determination in his eyes, he then finds a word that is new to him, he scratches his head and messes his dark brown hair in confusion. He reaches for his dictionary, as he extended his hands to look for the book he feels nothing. He looks down on his feet and finds the book gone, with panic in his eyes he starts looking for the book through the bushes and pots of plants scattered around the enormous garden. Then out of the silence of the peaceful garden he hears a rustle among the bushes, he sees a shadow running behind the darkness concealed by the trees. He looks around desperate to find the intruder, and then he hears it, the sweet high-pitched giggle of a little girl. Soon enough, out of the shadows a little girl in the age of ten emerges with a smug look on her face as she dangles the dictionary with her soft small hands. The boy frowns as he looks at her with accusing eyes, he stares at her waist length black hair that seemed to have leaves sticking out. He then looks at her clothes and crinkles his nose as he sees that she is still in her night gown, and barefoot as well! He decides not to associate himself with the miniature Amazon. He straightens his stance and speaks out with a superior tone in his voice. "Give me back my book."

The girl meanwhile smiles even wider exposing her perfect pearly white teeth. "What are you going to give me in exchange for it?" she says with a beautiful yet arrogant voice, she hides the book behind her in attempt to have a bargain with the boy. The boy, annoyed in not getting what he wanted stomps his foot and says "how dare you! This is my garden and that is my book, what makes you think you can order me around?" suddenly the girl frowns.

"You see? That’s exactly the kind of attitude that scares kids away. No wonder you don't have any friends yet. Besides, just coz I wanted to come here doesn't mean you can order me around too." she defended, she smiled again and says "I'm Lenna, nice to meet you Kurt" she then climbs the nearby tree with surprising agility and takes an apple, wipes is and takes a bite of the juicy fruit.

"I don't care who you are, I just want my book back" Kurt says, now more determined not to get involved with such a troubling girl. Suddenly the girl jumps from her perch and wipes her hands, with the book in between her armpit and arm. she smiled devilishly, enhancing her pretty face, "if you want it so much, why not take it from me?" she says as she started to break into a run, Kurt, wanting to get the dictionary back, had no choice but to run after her. He left the book on the ground open and forgotten as he gained on the girl. The silence of the garden was disturbed by the laughs of the two kids; the former enemies now became friends as they ran around chasing each other.

The scenes suddenly change in accordance with time and with it the occupants of the garden. The two kids were now replaced with two adults, yet as they spent their time in the garden it seemed like they hadn't changed at all. They still played with each other even though they are now fully grown. Lenna was now a beautiful girl in the age of eighteen, she has many admirers but all of them were scared off by the influential family of Kurt. The two of them sat down under the shady oak tree that Lenna used to climb, they laughed and exchanged jokes, soon, the sun came down and they had to leave. They held hands and walked towards the gate of the garden. They stood there illuminated by the light of the setting, staring at each other's eyes. That was when Kurt noticed the pain in Lenna's teary brown eyes. "Is something wrong Lenna?" he asked, as he held her face and stared at her, leaning down so that they could look each other in the eyes.
