((Christine POV))
"You eat like a dog Lowen."With a jolt Lowen sat up, stopping his rough butchering of the steak he had ordered.
Right now Christine and Lowen were at a restaurant in their hometown, one they always hanged out at every other Saturday.
They had come to this small homey restaurant since they were kids. Today was no different after 10 or so years. Lowen was still the strange yet adorable guy, and Christine was still watching over him making sure he didn't go and get himself into too much trouble.
"C'mon Christine, you know you love me." Lowen said with a playful smirk.
Christine blushed slightly as his remark hit the nail on the head, but this went unnoticed by Lowen as he continued to attack his poor entrée.
"Shut up," Christine said, trying to cover up her emotions. It worked and it always did.
"So Lowen about that girl you've been seeing recently..."
Lowen looked up at Christine in mid-chew.
"Brwk urp... ber...," Lowen tried to get out past his stuffed mouth.
"What?" Christine said, confused to as what Lowen had said.
Swallowing Lowen repeated, "I broke up with her."
"Really?" Christine said with a faked shocked voice.
Finally, was what she was really thinking.
"Yeah not my type really," Lowen said as he stared up at Christine.
Noticing his intense stare Christine uttered, "R-really? Then what is your type?"
After a long pause Lowen said, "No clue."
Christine let out a disappointed sigh. What an idiot...
"Shoot!"
Christine was startled by Lowen's sudden shout.
He looked at her and said, "Sorry but I'm late for a school meeting, not that I really pay attention. But Rem said he'd literally kill me this time if I skipped out again!"
"Now? On a Saturday?"
Lowen began cleaning up and tossed some money on the table.
"Yeah, the guy's got no clue what a break is. I'll catch you later!"
With that Lowen rushed out of the restaurant.
Christine slumped in her seat, disappointed that her special time with Lowen was cut short.
Oh well, I'm just glad the reason isn't a girl....
Christine was done eating already, so she began cleaning up and getting her stuff to leave when she noticed something on Lowen's chair.
Christine picked it up and examined it.
"A letter?"
Clumsy guy must have dropped it by accident. I wonder what it says.... No I shouldn't! That's an invasion of privacy...
It was then that Christine remembered all the times that Lowen would invite himself over to her place anytime he wanted, and acted like it was his own home going every where at ALL THE WRONG TIMES....
It wouldn't hurt this time if I sneaked a peek...With that resolve, Christine opened and read the letter.
