Chapter 3

Eva POV *Not Edited*

It had been a month since Marcel had shown me around and we became quite close. Or friends as I would like to call it. I have settled in quite nicely in the French quarter. But it seems that I have forgotten my goal in the first place, to find my family. And I needed to start gathering information soon.  I was walking into Marcels place across the river when I called his name.
"Marcel?"I didn't get an answer. I then heard a huge crash I gasped and ran to the noise to see a man holding a stake against his chest

"Marcel!" He looked at me with wide eyes

"GET OUT OF HERE EVA!"The man started to dig the stake into his chest. I slowly held up my hand feeling the power surge through my body. Slowly I clenched my hand. The man slowly fell to his knees looking at me. Blood came from his eyes, nose and mouth. He started coughing up more blood and slumped to the ground. I ran to Marcel

"Are you alright Marcel?", I asked worried

He looked at me shocked and at a lost for words. Until he finally said

"Your a witch?"

"Well not exactly" I smiled.

"You saved me. Thank you." He looked to me grateful.

"Of course. I always defend my friends. Always." I looked down at the bloodied man. And cocked my head.
"Who is he? I asked curious. Marcel looked down at the man in distaste.

"One of his hybrids" venom laced his voice

"His?" I asked

"Yah the man who raised me and turned me, His name is Kl-" he was cut off by his phone ringing. He answered it and  then looked towards me "Yah she's right here. I'll tell her. Yup ok bye" he then looked to me " Cami was worried. You weren't answering her calls." My eyes widened. I quickly grabbed my phone an saw I had 3 missed calls from her and 2 text messages.

"I was suppose to met her at Rousseau's an hour ago. I've got to go Marcel I'll talk to you later ok?"

"Yah. And Eva?" I turned to look at him " Thank you." I smiled and nodded then turned and made my way to the bar. After I met up with Cami and apologized for forgetting we had a nice night and went back to the apartment. I fell asleep thinking of the family I wanted to see with all my being, wondering where they could be.

Flashback/Dream

Rebekah and I were in the meadow making flower crowns for one another, laughing about the simplest of things and simply enjoying each others company. We were completely in our own world, I soon noticed that all of the boys were near us doing something to keep them selves busy Elijah and Niklaus Practicing the sword, Kol was sleeping, and Finn was leaning against one of the trees reading a book. I chuckled and shook my head.

"So protective" I whispered Rebekah giggled slightly, agreeing with me. an idea popped in my mind and I slowly got up and walked over to Finn he was so immersed into his book that he didn't sense me coming. I quickly put the flower crown on his head and giggled. He looked at me flabbergasted. I Heard the laughs of all of the siblings besides a deep sleeping Kol.

"Brother it suits you quite well" Niklaus said laughing loudly

"Finn you do look quite charming I must say" I said grinning ear to ear. Finn looked at me genuinely smiling and shook his head.

"I'm afraid its is not I who would look best in this" He said pointing at the flower crown he slowly got up and walked to a sleeping Kol and put it on his head. He turned grinning

"Better?" we were all silent before we all laughed loudly waking Kol from his slumber.

"What? what's so funny?" he said looking completely confused making us all laugh harder.
