I squeaked, jumping as you grabbed my hand and my camera fell against my chest. You laughed and shot me the dorky, crooked smile you usually pull when you're satisfied with my reactions.

"Jenna," you whined out, holding onto my hand and pulling me close on the field. "What's your camera set at?" You whispered to me. You pulled me close enough so that I could lean against your chest.

I shrugged my shoulders in response. "I'm not sure. My f-stop is as low as it can go and I think my shutter speed is 120 or something." I laughed before pulling away and taking a few photos of the game.  "You can't just try and get my attention by being cute. Especially in public like that." I half-heartedly scolded him, a smile pulling at the corners of my lips.

He rolled his eyes and followed me as I moved, trying to catch a before hand spot that would create the photos leading into a touchdown. "You know, I doubt anyone here cares what the other school's yearbook kids are doing." He teased.

"Yeah but I do, and I'm sure the coaches and team think we're kinda well..." I paused, shrugging my shoulders. "Gross. Little weirdos."

Your laugh. Oh your sweet laugh. It was all I heard before I realized I had missed the winning touchdown shots. You quickly ran to me and playfully pushed me before giving me a high five. Of course I couldn't help but laugh at the backwards gesture.

"My god, you're so weird." I teased as you pulled me to a shaded corner of the guest's side of the football field.

You sat down on the turf and I laid next to you, my head on your lap. You took my camera and put it in my camera bag, then did the same with yours. After you began to stroke my hair, looking up at the stars. It was quiet for a while before I started to laugh.

"Hmm?" You mustered up, coming back from lost thoughts.

Your eyes were still locked on the clouds as I let out a sigh. "You know, it's things like this that I look forward to in the week. Football games with you, hanging with our friends in third, and Sunday nights when you hold me hostage until Monday when you drop me off at school."

"You like when I make you spend the night?" You asked, looking down at me and smiling.

"Yeah, I mean sure you play video games and I literally force you to let me help with your homework, but I mean," I shrugged my shoulders and opened my eyes, looking up at you. I hadn't realized they had closed. "It's fun being around you and with you."

You nodded and looked back up. "Yeah, it's fun around and with you too." You started to laugh and stuck your tongue out at me. "And not just because you kind of do my homework. I appreciate the time spent with you."

"Hey! Jenna! Matty! C'mon." Your friend Alex, who you referred to only by his last name Grieco, yelled to us.

You got up and picked up my backpack and camera bag before turning to me and smiling.

"What?" I asked, laughing as you shrugged.

After being seated and counted for on the bus, I laid awkwardly to perfectly position myself to rest my head on your lap and closed my eyes as the bus began the hour and fifteen minute bus ride home. You pulled my hair about thirty minutes in and smiled down at me.

"Yes?" I whispered, most of the around boys talking about the game still.

"It'll be late and I don't want you to wake up your niece or anyone so do you wanna spend the night?" You whispered back, shrugging your shoulders.

I just smiled back at you and closed my eyes. Something about you had me infatuated with the time spent with you. It left me almost to say, I like you.

When we got back to campus I had actually fallen asleep in your lap. I woke up to you taking photos of me on your phone. I started to laugh as I watched you turn red from embarrassment.

"'Matty.." I murmured as I stood up slowly, stretching and grabbing my camera bag and backpack.

You looked at me as I shivered and led me to the bus exit before taking off your sweater and handing it to me. "Yeah, Jenn?"

I stared at your extended hand for awhile, contemplating what I wanted to do. What I wanted to say. I took a deep breath before speaking again and you laughed.

"Campus or the park? I have something on my mind." I asked, the air numbing my skin.

"Park." You declared. "And of course I can pick you up and drive you there." You teased.
