"Damn it. I hate Valentine's day. All these cute couples doing cute things. It's not faiiiiir!" I complain.
"Well, you're the one who doesn't want a relationship, Aoi." Light tells me.
"I just want a guy to do all the romance stuff with me, but with no commitment. But he also can't date other girls either. Is that so much to ask for?"
Light rolls his eyes at me. "Yes, it is."
I groan. "Liiiiiiight"
He sighs. "Yes Aoi?"
"Why don't guys like meee?"
"They do, but you turn them down."
"Thats cuz they're weeeiiirrrdd"
Light shakes his head. "Well, what's a not weird guy look like to you?" I think for a moment. "I dunno. Just not weird."
"You're impossible."
"But you love me"
He turns his chair so he's facing his desk once again. "Ouch, that's cold Ice Prince." He laughs.
"...Ryuga's kinda cool."
His head snaps towards me. "Ryuuga? From Tou-Oh?" I smirk. "Nooo, the pop idle. Yes from Tou-Oh!"
"You like him?!"
"I just said he was cool! Not that I like him!"
"But you implied it!"
"I think he's cool, and that's it! Can we just go back to studying now?" I groan, trying to hide the blush on my cheeks by holding my math book close to my face.
"I thought you didn't like...odd guys?"
"Alright, I'll admit Ryuga is a bit strange," Okay, a bit is putting it lightly. "But it's a good strange. Now drop it already!" I huffed.

One Month Later - March 14th - White Day (In Japan, Valentine's Day is typically observed by girls giving gifts to boys and on White Day, the reverse happens)
---
"Here"
Suddenly something sweet-smelling filled the air around me. Was that chocolate? I looked down at the blue and white box with a pretty bow that had been shoved in my arms, along with a single blue rose. I grinned.
"White chocolate and a single rose? So cheezy," I laughed.
"Well if you don't want them..." he began, I gasped. "No! You gave them to me! They're mine! No take-backsies!"
"Take-backsies?" Light teased. I huffed. "Shut up." I mumbled now focusing on untying the bow. After successfully doing so I popped one in my mouth, moaning as caramel touched my tongue. "Light-o these are amazing! Where'd you get em?"
He laughed. "So you like them?"I nodded, swallowed and gave him a quick hug "You're the best".
My attention now focused on the blue rose. I thought for a moment. "Don't blue roses symbolize the unattainable?" I asked him. My grandmother was a florist, so naturally she told me the meanings of flowers and their colors.
He smiled. "Well, to a lot of guys out there, that's what you are, since you always end up turning them down."
I groaned. "Agh, don't bring that up again"
He laughs.
