Chapter 1

It was lunchtime on campus. I transformed into a bird and flew away. In the meantime, Connor went to the rooftop and searched for a good place to eat. I returned a while later with a few sandwhiches for me and Connor. After we finished eating i asked: "What class do we have next?" "Shapeshifting class. The most fun one!" answered Connor with a smile. "And i also heard that we are going to talk about a special topic. Something about shifting into a.. Dragon i think it was..." "A dragon.. Everyone can shift into only one of the many kinds." I replied while we entered the classroom.

The teacher told everyone to leave their bags in the classroom and to go into the arena the school has to practise fighting. Everyone entered the arena and the teacher spoke. "So, as you all know, there are six different types of dragons. Earth, water, fire, wind, light and dark. The last two are the rarest. Only four people in the world have had one of those two.

Today you will learn how to shift into your dragon form. Adena and Greg, you two will go first. Imagine the dragon you want to be. At the moment you have a clear picture of the dragon in your mind, try shifting into it." Greg shifted first. Adena followed a few seconds after. "Greg, an earth dragon. Adena, a fire dragon. Well done." Said the teacher. The whole class had various types but none had one of the two rare types. "Emma and Connor, try it now." Said the teacher. Emma and Connor both shifted into wind dragons.

"Okay, and last up, Jace and Ashley." My vision went blurry as i tried to focus. The blur dissapeared a few seconds later. I had shifted into a dragon. Ashley was next to me and had shifted at the same time. Then the teacher said in shock: "A.. Dark type and a light type?!? I will be right back." She returned a minute later with the principal. "Well this is a rare sight." Said the principal. "Jace, do you know how to shoot fire?" I nodded. "Okay, then shoot straight up." When i tried to shoot, it wasn't fire that came out of my mouth but rather a ball of plasma. "That's the power of the dark type. You can also shoot some sort of lightning but you will need training for that. Okay, Ashley, can you do the same thing?" She nodded and shot a ray of light up in the air. "With that ray, you can shoot through every object. It is really powerful, just like Jace's plasma. Both of you, be cautious with your powers." He then turned around and left the arena. The teacher said: "Okay, now everyone, shift back to your human form and i'll call it a day. You can all return to your dorms."
