Prologue

His eyes were so blue, so pure, they reminded me of--nothing. Yes, nothing.No words I could use would paint a picture of that dark royal blue and the intensity and ferocity upon which they could look upon me and make me feel like I was no longer whole.
   How would I describe him?
The poverty of language would not suffice. There was this darkness in him that no one noticed. Hidden beneath his boyish smile and playful words. I do not know what business I had noticing it myself.
  Yet he knew, somehow, he could tell I did. It was those eyes, those indescriably blue eyes, that could see through my own darkness deeper than I myself knew.
God forgive us if we were wrong, but it was that darkness that called us to each other and ripped us apart.
    My mother taught; you reap what you saw. You are what you attract. There is no result that isn' a consequence  of a choice. We paid for the consequences though we never had a choice, we just happened. Falling in and out of each other.
Because of who we were, what we were.
Doomed from the moment I fell into his abyss.
